Looking at today's overall results, it seems like Friday's underperformance continued. Was hoping we would rebound. I didn't watch the bouts. Could someone who saw our guys compete comment on my reaction to the looking at the results?
Shawver had an opportunity to be tested if he made the finals and met Nagao of Penn State. Instead he lost to a freshman who barely beat Hermes? What does Shawver need to do to improve. As Goodale said, these bouts are important and will impact seeding come tournament time.
Was Butler hurt? Did he gas? Was he outclassed? ScottRU93 said, "Butler defaults out losing 12-1 with almost 5 minutes of riding time against him"
White lost to two good opponents. Unfortunately that will not help with his rankings. How did he look against
Fish of MSU? Is there a good chance for him to reverse the outcome in the MSU dual meet?
Yara continues to beat everyone in front of him? Did he dominate Day? Hope he goes to the Midlands. Otherwise, his first opponent in the top 19th is likely to be in two months when he faces Davison of Michigan
While Cartagena-Walsh didn't have any difficult opponents, gotta love his results. How did he look and what is his ceiling?
The good news is we should really dominate our next 8 opponents (Edinboro, Princeton, Buffalo, Penn, Rider, Indiana, Purdue, and Michigan State. By then, do you think we will be prepared for Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, and Penn State..
