No Reiber and Mag

You should tone it down with the Hyatt hate. The entire team played horrible defense in the first half against Temple and here you are singling out one guy in Hyatt. That's ridiculous !!!
Sorry....that isn't entirely true. The answer lies somewhere in between.

That’s a veteran Rider team that usually shoots almost 40% from 3 point land. Dont make them out to be Columbia.
They may live and die by the 3, but the Rider team I saw yesterday was not on the same level as us athletically or size wise. It looked like the Varsity vs the Freshman team.

Yes I did. It seems his injury has definitely hampered him. He’s not even where he was end of last year. But tonight was better. I still think by seasons end he will start a couple games if he finds his stoke again. It’s early.
Dean looks healthy. He is just showing that he struggles to play the 4. He's an undersized 5. He starting to look more and more like a limited role player at this level

I agree with this assessment - Dean is who he is. He can still contribute, but he is not, and will most likely never be a major piece. He's somebody who's going to give you 'minutes'.

I said during the off season when Pike didnt hit the portal hard that if he is depending on last years bench players to become legit Big 10 players that rhis team could be in trouble. Of course the usual suspects came out with their name calling and insults. It looks like Hyatt could be a Big 10 player. Mag, Reiber and Miller will not IMO. Mag and Reiber have hit their ceiling and are what you have been watching and Miller has no offensive game. These kids cant even light up the tune up teams we are playing. Reiber scoring 1 pt against Rider in 16 mins is abysmal, and he didnt look hurt.

Reiber didn't show much but he only took one shot and with Wolf vacuuming up al the rebounds maybe there wasn't much left to grab. He is coming off an injury and playing a new position so I expect he will get better as the season goes on and offer some positive minutes.

Miller definitely seems more comfortable on offense this year. He’s gotten into the lane with drives and spin moves. If he can start to finish on those plays, watch out, as that will create drive and dish opportunities.

Would also like to see Jalen take a three when wide open. He can make them, but even a miss will show he’s willing. This will give his head fake at the arc more bite, and get him a half-step advantage to go around his defender on the drive.

To all the Mag doubters, he logged another good game today. When Paul and Caleb are both back, I’d like to see him start over Hyatt, who struggled again today.

Let Hyatt start. Doesn’t matter. I like Mag Simpson and Woolfolk coming 1st off the bench with Spencer and another guard (Paul?).

I believe they track heart rate to determine when players come out and back in. Spencer’s energy meter doesn’t deplete and gets back to 100% quick.

Mag getting back to his strengths. Energy, defense, rebound, and get buckets around the rim. He was forcing it earlier and rushing his moves. He has settled in and is letting the game come to him. Mag can get 10 points a game on cutting, rebounds, dirty buckets around the rim and some occassional mid range moves

As long has Mag gets the majority of the minutes, I’m fine with that.
We all can trust pike plays the guys who give us best chance.

I still think our best lineup is 0,4,10,11,22. That lineup may only be on the floor for 5 minutes, but it could be the 5 that matter the most.
