didnt get a chance to watch last night but what the hell is wrong with deGrom...something tells me we will be seeing him back on the IL again soon with something serious. He has just fallen off a cliff after his 1st 2 starts

Feel bad for those with tickets. Start pushed to 10pm. What time did it end.

Yep. Either has become very abysmal or very hurt. Neither is great.

Starting pitching is horrendous. May need to fire Callaway and pitching coach if he can't improve this team in the next 15-20 games.

Mets going with the loser roster tonight.
d'Arnaud catching. McNeil outfield, Davis at 3B.

Just wait until Mickey Moron’s Frazier-Lageres-Broxton-pitcher bottom of the lineup tomorrow.

Can’t stand d’Arnauld but Ramos is not as good of a catcher as I thought he’d be. Ramos can hit but they are mostly singles and then he just clogs the bases. Both poor defensively. d’Arnaud is barely a backup anymore.

Davis is horrible defensivley but Frazier can’t hit. The Mets have a choice between two half-assed players there.

McNeil needs to be in the lineup but I agree he’s a horrible outfielder. It’s fun to watch McNeil and Alonso but this is a poorly built team right now, especially with the pitching meltdowns.

I see that some Mets game are on WPIX. Yankees too. Is the first year WPIX is having both teams? Brings back great memories.

Go Brewers

Maybe they should have traded Syndergaard if/when they had a chance.

Was thinking the same. He hasn’t learned how to pitch yet. He still just tries to strike everyone out but he doesn’t get many swing and misses.

Just about ready to shut it off again. It’s also pretty sad when the Yankees are plowing through the AL while staring their triple A players and we don’t even have anyone to bring up. I’m waiting for the Mets to offer Alonso for Joey Votto.

Mets have plenty of AAA guys to bring up if needed. Syracuse has a whole lineup full of them: Gomez, Blanco, R. Davis, Rivera, Espinosa, Hecheverria, Herrera, etc. And that's without even mentioning God's favorite player, who's currently hitting a buck fifty. We have organizational depth aplenty. What we don't have is PROSPECTS, but that's a whole 'nother story.

Keep in mind- Alonso, Rosario, Nimmo, Conforto, Smith . who are already up. I hate the way this organization runs it's develpment but we really did just bring up a pretty impressive group of very young home grown players.

Adios TDA...

But yeaaaa, more Nido.

Why in the world did we pay d'Arnaud as much as we did to backup Ramos only to cut him 3 weeks in and also trade Plawecki who is a much better backup C. I am not impressed with much of BVW moves to this point.

Wow did not see that coming. I thought he'd get more than 23 at bats.

Brings to mind the strange case of Devin Mesoraco. When he didn't make the team out of spring training, he demanded his release. Mets declined to grant it and told him to report to Syracuse. He refused, the Mets put him in Restricted List limbo, where he remains to this day. Had he shown up in Syracuse and played well, he'd likely be back in the bigs by now. I guess there's a moral there somewhere.

Mesoraco actually threw out some runners last year. Should have kept him.

At least there is ONE difference between BVW and Sandy. Last year, TDA wouldve stayed with the Mets and had a bobblehead day for him in August.

Frazier batting cleanup and Broxton in the lineup. Two players probably in their final seasons. However, Gio actually pitches slow enough for both of them to hit off him.
