p.s. $330 million for a guy who can't make the All-Star team as a reserve -- yes, I know Harper went 3 for 4 with a home run today, but he's not worth $25 million a year.

Congrats to them! Note that the Phillies have only one player, Realmutto, on the team. I was really impressed by McNeil and Alonso during the Mets series with the Phillies, and so I'm glad they made it. (DeGrom didn't pitch in the series, I believe).

Surprised Hoskins did not make it.

I was a little surprised Hoskins didn't make it, but there seem to be a lot of NL first basemen doing well this year. Harper is a definite upgrade for the Phillies over Nick Williams and Aaron Altherr at both the plate and on defense, but that's not saying much. He's good, but a superstar? I don't think so, yet he's making superstar money.

Conforto doesn't suck, he's just not quite as good as people thought he'd be. On pace for 30 hrs and an .840 OPS, that's still pretty good.
