They were wrong to say that. What should be said is that if you're not a teacher, admin, school staff member, student or student parent, no one of import cares what you have to say. So sit down and stfu. (I ad-lobbed that last bit!)

Tell ya what, tho, you can definitely go back to whining about general education problems when we're not in the middle of a global fkn pandemic. That is, if you remember to without Fox and co reminding you on the daily.

K, thx.
What teacher, admin, school staff member, student or student parent has any experience with shutting kids out of school for a year? What taxpayer doesn't pay for schools?

Who's shutting kids out of school for a year?

Don't blow your taxpayer status into more than it is.

That's right.. keep trying to shut down any due criticism... any questions. I'm shocked that it is not racist to question teachers.

It's not due criticism. It's whiners that have cried every step of the way continually f-ing it up for everyone.

Care so much about kids getting back to school (you don't, but let's pretend)? Why don't you try getting the abysmal leadership on your side to actually take things seriously and do what's needed to quell the virus enough to do so.

Oh yeah, and if we're talking about schools spending money to prepare for in-class learning during a pandemic, at a time of frozen budgets, you need to start talking about getting them resources, not threatening to take them away.

Or just sit back down and pipe down like you were told.

Other countries for the most part had effective national plans of testing , tracing and lock downs and are now in good shape able to send kids back to school with out fears.

The USA has had no good national planning for anything, thus things a mess and will probably get worse in the fall.
There you go.

The new forecast is 200,000 dead by November. We’re at 140,000 now.

https://komonews.com/news/coronavir...cts-more-than-200000-covid-19-deaths-by-nov-1

The coronavirus could hit states especially hard in the fall, as cases and deaths are projected to surge.

The latest numbers from UW’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation show significant COVID-19 deaths in the Fall.

IHME researchers project 208,255 deaths in the country by Nov. 1. The last IHME projection showed more than 175,000 Americans will die of coronavirus by Oct. 1.

Researchers said those numbers drop to 162,808 if at least 95 percent of people wear masks in public. That’s 45,000 fewer deaths, just by wearing a mask.

You know that's not really true, right?

I mean, maybe you pop out of internet life just long enough to attend actual school board meetings, but no one believes that. And regardless, schools aren't leaving this decision up to a Joe Schmoe taxpayer vote.

So factually, no, despite all your kicking, screaming and hand wringing, you guys will ultimately not weigh at all on the decision. It's enough to crack a big smile!

Actually.. getting back to school to program millions of childrens brains toward hating the country is probably not something I would prefer.. but the children need the other 75% of school to become useful members of society so I don't have to be a ROAD WARRIOR in my old age. Idle hands are the devil's playthings.

Great post . Most people don’t understand how much all of this is going to cost schools , yet want to just throw everyone back in with no plan or safety resources . Do you realize how much extra custodial staff and cleaning resources they will need to have ? That’s just one item. Just like Donny did , you want a quick fix and throw a baindaid at the problem. With this virus , it doesn’t work that way and that’s why we’re in the situation we are in , with half ass measures . Let’s make sure that when we go back , we go back with proper safety resources and plans for all . If that’s in September , great but let’s not half ass it like we’ve done everything else or else we’ll all be back in lockdown again soon .

Saw this and thought it is f---king spot on:

"The least important thing about schools is the exact day it opens. If cases are climbing & the buildings are old and the teachers aren’t safe and you’re likely to shut down again, you already know the answer."

Nevermind the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) came out with a strong statement in favor of bringing children back to the classroom this fall wherever and whenever they can do so safely. The AAP guidance "strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming shool year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school."

smh...

And?
