I agree that the you can't blame the ump but maybe cant blame the player either. And the swat was always what I had been taught.

I was never taught to swat it. I was taught to touch it. If he had done that only 1 run would have scored.

And the thing is as bad I-Cough is they have to buy innings cause they used 9 innings of bullpen yesterday. This is basically a throwaway game which would have been fine when we had a 5-6 game lead. But not any longer.

Well this game has certainly been interesting. McCann hits Mets fifth HR of the night. Up 9-8, top 8 still batting.

Did not see play. Was there less than two outs? If so you want to keep the double play in order.
This is the kind of win that Bill Parcells used to call "fool's gold". A good win for sure, but not sustainable. Don't think you can hand a team six or seven runs in two innings and mash your way out of it. That happens once or twice a season. And we just had our two.

Though, I wouldn’t expect 3 errors in a game by one player to give up so many of those runs in the first place.
