As is Dom as is KonfortoMcNeil driving me nuts.
OK guys, you wanted emotion out of Rojas, you got it. He's probably looking at a suspension. I believe his response was calculated and intentional, but we will never know that.
Let's see if it carries over to the postgame. Different guys have different personalities and you're not going to change them. But I must admit, I wouldn't mind seeing Rojas emulate this 2016 blow up from Terry Collins. It starts at about the 4:00 mark of the linked clip. The truly memorable quote is at about 6:45. Here goes:
"Starting tomorrow, we're back fresh. Starting tomorrow, we're gonna get after it here. And those who don't want to get after it, I will find somebody else who does. Because in Las Vegas, there's a whole clubhouse of guys who want to sit in this room. And I'll find them."
Sarcasm went right over your head. That was a joke. Diaz is a closer. He fails in non-save situations. Before last night, he was 17 of 19 in save situations. The statements that the season is over and the Mets should dump Diaz are way over the top.I guess only you are allowed to whine, is that what I'm seeing? Weren't you whining that Diaz should have been brought in instead of Lugo? We would have lost it sooner, lmfao!!! Diaz pulls a "Chappy" and snatches defeat from the jaws of victory
That's why you have to be skeptical that they can complete this comeback. Until they show they can produce in those situations other than occasionally via a long ball. Everybody comes up swinging for the fences instead of trying to string hits together. And then you know at some point Conforto is gonna come up to kill any rally.Mental block , some say not clutch , others may say choke
3-32 RISP
Loved it. Needed something to try to fire this listless bunch up. The near brawl didn't do it so try something else. I just hope he doesn't back off from it postgame.Didnt the ball nipped the batter’s pants leg while he was in the box? It would be a HBP if a pitch nipped the batter’s uni in anyway so why not on a hit ball?
Yeah cause we know crime wasn't a problem in this country before January.Lets hopefully see the morons that voted for this $hitshow have "buyers remorse" come the mid-terms. Truly sickening what has happened to this country in a mere 6 months.
Frankly, there was a lot of crime in DC on January 6th.Yeah cause we know crime wasn't a problem in this country before January.
Oh so you are somehow TAKING CREDIT for Conforto's homer? Sorry, that schtick's already been taken. @FrankZYou’re all welcome !!!!
While I hope you are right, I have never bought into this logic. Just as I don't buy how a loss like last night's could send a team into a tailspin. This is a win that could spur a win streak.
"Completely wrong". Looked like the ball was fouled of the batter's leg. Not a reviewable play, and the manager should go out there and argue on a play like that. But use whatever weak sauce you want to continue to complain about the manager.Rojas sits with his thumb up his ass when the Mets have calls to complain about and then acts like a freaking lunatic when he’s completely wrong…lol. It is nice to see that he has a pulse…I guess.
On the second Jomboy replay I posted earlier, it looked like the ball looked like it nipped the batter in the pant leg while still in the box. If a batter can get a HBP when he gets nipped on the overhanging sleeve, why not in this case?"Completely wrong". Looked like the ball was fouled of the batter's leg. Not a reviewable play, and the manager should go out there and argue on a play like that. But use whatever weak sauce you want to continue to complain about the manager.
When it comes to sports, the mental aspect of it is as big or bigger than you think. Sports are 90% mental and 10% physical. Every time you hear a player or coach talk in any sport, it's always from the mental approach before you even think of the physical part of the game. If you recall the Yankee/Houston, then you know what I'm talking about. Cole was on fumes against Houston, and he told his manager I got this. Coles' approach (bulldog) made the hitter second guess and weak at the knees. Did you see the hitter basically throw in the towel on each swing? While I hope you are right, I have never bought into this logic. I believe in the maxim that in baseball, momentum is tomorrow's starting pitcher. Unfortunately, we don't have those.

Winning is habit-forming, just as losing is too.
