Someone will complain about that soon enoughAnyone notice Familia hit 100mph? Just saying.
Stupid Rojas should limit Familia's pitch speed before he hurts himself.Someone will complain about that soon enough

The Braves have no say in calling the game. Up to the umpires. Plus, it isn't an official game yet. Since the home team is losing, they must COMPLETE five innings.Pods-Braves in a long rain delay in 5th inning of game 2. Been raining like a mofo in the area where their stadium is located,, which is about 10 miles North of where I live. But I get home and it's bone dry down here. But they will wait until midnight if they need to. Braves are losing and if that holds they get swept. So no way they'll call it even though it's an official game.
Oh okay. Thanks. In that case the Braves want it called. Lol. But I also don't see that happening with the Padres also being a west coast team. The Braves have no say in calling the game. Up to the umpires. Plus, it isn't an official game yet. Since the home team is losing, they must COMPLETE five innings.
Well I'll be damned. They suspended the game. Both teams just lost a future off day to finish 3 innings. The Braves have no say in calling the game. Up to the umpires. Plus, it isn't an official game yet. Since the home team is losing, they must COMPLETE five innings.
Should mess with Braves pitchingWell I'll be damned. They suspended the game. Both teams just lost a future off day to finish 3 innings.
No, to complete 4 1/2 innings. If all they needed to do was complete three innings, it's an official game and Padres win.Well I'll be damned. They suspended the game. Both teams just lost a future off day to finish 3 innings.
You lost me. It was a 7 inning game. So the Braves have 3 turns at bat left. No, to complete 4 1/2 innings. If all they needed to do was complete three innings, it's an official game and Padres win.
Sorry, my bad. Forgot it was a 7 inning game. I didn't realize that a 7 inning game still had to go 4 1/2 to be official. I guess I had never thought about it one way or the other. You lost me. It was a 7 inning game. So the Braves have 3 turns at bat left.
They did make it through 4.5 innings. They were headed to the home 5th when the rain moved in.Sorry, my bad. Forgot it was a 7 inning game. I didn't realize that a 7 inning game still had to go 4 1/2 to be official. I guess I had never thought about it one way or the other.
Are both starters for Monday TBD?Line on Vance Worley tonight for Syracuse: 98 pitches, 5 innings, 3 runs but only 1 earned, 4 hits, 4 walks, 3 wild pitches.
Why is this significant? Because he is now in line to start on Monday - a day when the Mets need TWO starters. (It's Stroman's turn, but the plan for now is to save Stroman for the nine inning game on Tuesday.) So we may see Worley on Monday.
Mets also need a starter on Sunday, which could be Carrasco out of necessity, even though it sure looks like he could benefit from another rehab start.
Rojas said after the game that McNeil is not injured, he was removed from the game due to "fatigue". Yeah no, I'm not buying that either. We shall see.Any word on how long Lindor is out for and the status of McNeil as I heard he stepped on 1st base awkwardly? Thanks
A-yup. You may see something listing Stroman for Monday, but I read he's pushed back to Tuesday's nine inning game. Are both starters for Monday TBD?
I would also expect at least one of those TBDs to be Carrasco. Just a question of against which of Toronto, Atlanta or Cinncinatti depending on whether they give him another rehab outing.A-yup. The homestand rotation (I think):
Friday - Megill
Saturday - Walker
Sunday - TBD
Monday - TBD and TBD
Tuesday - Stroman
Wednesday - Megill
Thursday - Walker
Friday - TBD
Saturday - TBD
Sunday - Stroman
That's five TBD's out of eleven. No bueno.
If/when deGrom is ready, I suspect they'll slot him in and move everything else around as needed.
Hopefully a TBD is a pitcher or pitchers to be picked up in trades shortly.A-yup. You may see something listing Stroman for Monday, but I read he's pushed back to Tuesday's nine inning game.

This was stupid. He actually played well under the circumstances but yet Almora is still on the 40.I really hated giving up McKinney. Good defender with some speed and some lefty pop off the bench.
Stroman has earned every $ we are paying him this year. To me, he jumped way ahead of Thor in “need to sign”Stro has pitched well all season outside a couple of exceptions. His ERA reflects that. The only reason his W-L record doesn't has been due to lack of run support.
The same could be said for Diaz, yet. . . . . 😬:flush:.Stro has pitched well all season outside a couple of exceptions. His ERA reflects that. The only reason his W-L record doesn't has been due to lack of run support.
I'm surprised Philly hasnt turned the closer role over to Archie Bradley. But hey that's Girardi's problem not mine. But I don't think Neris has it anymore. Think it's largely that guy Suarez now.The same could be said for Diaz, yet. . . . . 😬:flush:.
Look at it this way, he is no Neris (Phillies closer).

I'll sign up for that right now. Especially since the only way McKinney will be on the Dodgers active roster in October is if somebody better than him is injured.I've got his HR blasts to right penned in for October.
Almora (who had options) was already in the minors when McKinney (who did not) was DFA'd.This was stupid. He actually played well under the circumstances but yet Almora is still on the 40.
BTW, Didnt mention this earlier but Stroman stepped up big yesterday and they needed him the most. Hope this revival continues in the 2nd half of the season.

Check out 'Postseason-Batting'. I'm guessing I had him on my postseason team in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Fool me thrice...
