Just too many holes throughout the lineup. If they don't draw a walk with bases loaded, then the Mets never score in that type of situation.
Which is pathetic because there's so many different ways to score in that spot. Even a double play scores one. But thats right, we're not supposed to speak about their failings here.

Really? Davis whiffs, and Baez whiffs on 3 pitches. At least Conforto made contact. But if Davis and Baez don't produce, who will?
Baez is a huge hole. Dave Kingman 2.0. Davis and Conforto should not be holes.

I think he was talking about Dom, he has way too many soft swings , he has had several swings as if he was warming up his back hand prior to a tennis match.

Somehow I doubt that. Dom along with McNeil probably hit more line drives than anyone on the team. Hell, Conforto swings hard.

Stupid Rojas!! Why the hell does he put Almora in the 8 slot just ahead of the pitcher? Anyone who knows anything he would have been better off in the 1, 2 or 3 slot, since he was going to get on twice in 2 at bats.

Make that 5 Ks for Davy Kingman Baez. Swings the bat like a fly swatter. Good thing he is not chirping at the Fish dugout.
And 3 hits all season before today. Also when we just needed him most he grounded out. He doesn't belong on a major league roster.

Such a frustrating team to watch. With the Braves' injuries, this should easily be the best 1-8 lineup in the division. Yet, it's becoming painfully apparent that most of these players are Very over-rated.
The pitching was over-achieving through the first half and the hitting was under-achieving. Now that the pitching has slipped (no deGrom is a big part of it, as is Walker tanking), the hitting has unbelievably gotten worse.

Did not see game. Looked on mets.com and saw the headline "RISP Issues Doom Mets". Then checked box and saw they went 4 for 13 with RISP, which is quite good. But they only scored two runs. What am I missing?
He’s still batting 133 for the season!!!! Hes not an All Star all of a sudden and still shouldn’t be playing for the Newark Bears!!!
