I know the answer to that one!Why is Conforto playing ??
straight garbage
I got a bridge to sell you. 😜I know the answer to that one!
Conforto is playing because the probability that he will get hot and carry the team down the stretch, is greater than that of anyone else the Mets could use in his place.
Sure, go down in the count 0-1. That'll help.Guy throws a sinker, would not swing at first pitch.
I didn't see it. Nimmo grounded into a DP on a first pitch?Guy throws a sinker, would not swing at first pitch.
He is coming back to the player he is.Nimmo team is pathetic.
The problem started the AB before that when they gave away an AB. Why are the Mets kicking the can down the road opportunities are never taken advantage of.Sure, go down in the count 0-1. That'll help.
Absolutely no problem with Nimmo swinging at the first pitch there. Had a pitch to drive. Didn't drive it. Shit happens.
If the pitch is a ball, Nimmo is the one guy I trust to take it.And if the pitch is a ball maybe gets fast ball on next pitch?
I wonder what happened on the Stroman at bat. He may have chosen to take the first pitch, which was hittable. The second pitch was out of the strike zone and Gibson got the call. Then he got a breaking ball on 0-2 and may have been fooled. The problem started the AB before that when they gave away an AB. Squeeze play with the bases loaded and no out is a BAD play. If the batter misses the ball you've given up an out. Then if the batter proceeds to strike out, you've given up two outs, and you haven't scored. Better to swing away, where a double play at least gets you a run.Instead of having the pitcher give away an AB, why not try a squeeze play? The Mets are in need of runs. They play too much by the book, and the book has failed them.
Nobody is gonna ask about an at-bat by a pitcher post-game. Pitchers aren't the ones paid to produce at the plate.I wonder what happened on the Stroman at bat. Or maybe he was told not to swing. Or maybe he just decided not to swing. Maybe Rojas will be asked in the post game interview.
I think it is more along that line of don't swing all for the pitchers' health. Since health has been an issue, I get that, but why not attempt a bunt/squeeze play? The Mets are hard-pressed to score, and you can't let opportunities like this pass you by. Runs are like a bald man. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.I wonder what happened on the Stroman at bat. I know a squeeze play with no outs is bad, but this team can't play basic baseball. How many times are you going to leave men in scoring position? See what happens when you let your pitcher help the team. Philly scores another run.Squeeze play with the bases loaded and no out is a BAD play. If the batter misses the ball you've given up an out. Which takes us back to why didn't he swing...
New to being a Mets fan?Jeez, sorry I came here. Have fun with the pity party.
Villar tried to hit a one hopper to 2B for a GIDPHuge bunch of losers who LOVE hitting into monster double plays
Yes. Torreyes should be a regular at 3B now.I may be a mad man/hot head , but I told you Bohm is really bad at 3B
