Careers not even in the same stratosphere but Baez is souring on me quickly. He's batting 0.600 in August. Baez is batting 0.188 in August.

Admittedly, I have it in for Baez. @RuBird seems to like his spunk, but he comes across as a punk, the type of player always looking to start something with the other side. He should make sure he can deliver the goods before he looks to start sh!t with other teams. He looks foolish.Careers not even in the same stratosphere but Baez is souring on me quickly.
To his credit, he won the game yesterday with his slide and his HR. However, he’s hitting .160 with the Mets and struck out 5 times today…swinging at pitches+ 6 inches out of the strike zone. Unbelievable. He certainly fits right in.
Newark Bears no longer exist. Which may be your point. He’s still batting 133 for the season!!!! Hes not an All Star all of a sudden and still shouldn’t be playing for the Newark Bears!!!
The others: what can I say. Season is over because the Mets can’t hit

Aww crap. Nats blow 5-3 lead in 9th. Tied.
I predict Javy Baez starts a fight and gets his ass kicked.Phils Win!
Phils Win!
Phils Win!
(Yeah I'm feeling cocky right now)
Should be a great series this weekend.
LOLOL.I predict Javy Baez starts a fight and gets his ass kicked.
And Doolittle. What a great name for him. . . .LOLOL.
Not if he picks Odubel. He'll win that.
Phils are very hot right now. Except for Nola.
Almora was a beast.Almora was the offensive star of the game! That says it all!!
Do you ever think management is the problem? Acting GM Scott is more concerned with rats and raccoons than acquiring talent to address the team's shortcomings. And what exactly is Sandy's role?As the Mets implode once again, and with the strong possibility that the Mets will not make the playoffs once again - 3 things reside with me:
1. How can a team repeatedly be so bad and unclutch at the plate.
2. You can’t lose 2 gimme games in Pittsburgh and 3 of 4 in Miami
3. Team did not have talent / character to absorb the losses of Degrom and Lindor
Mets management needs to bring in winners / players who instill confidence etc and not the deadbeats that this team seems to always have.
Starting lineup next game. Sit Baez and AlonsoAlmora was a beast.
Sit Conforto as wellStarting lineup next game. Sit Baez and Alonso
1. Almora CF
2. PIllar LF
3. Conforto RF
4. Drury SS
5. Smith 1B
6. Villar 2B
7. McNeil 3B
8. McCann C
9. Stroman P
Get rid of these two and get someone from the Rays front office like they should have 3 years ago. Sandy is the most overrated exec in baseball. And Scott screwed up his GM audition by screwing up the deadline.Do you ever think management is the problem? Big problem with management but they’re not the ones hitting .100 at the plate with RISPDo you ever think management is the problem? Acting GM Scott is more concerned with rats and raccoons than acquiring talent to address the team's shortcomings. And what exactly is Sandy's role?
No one scored on 2 of the hits. Held up at 3b.Did not see game. Looked on mets.com and saw the headline "RISP Issues Doom Mets". Then checked box and saw they went 4 for 13 with RISP, which is quite good. But they only scored two runs. What am I missing?
They’re not the ones who are hitting 100 but they are the execs who got the ones who are hitting 100.Big problem with management but they’re not the ones hitting .100 at the plate with RISP
What should have occurred :
- Springer signing instead of Lindor
- Realmuto signing instead of McCann
Above are either Management and / or Ownership issues. Probably more management.
Realmuto was not coming to the Mets. Can't cry over milk that never spilled.Big problem with management but they’re not the ones hitting .100 at the plate with RISP

It's okay bro. Everybody strikes out 5 times in a game and leaves 10 men on base. But don't worry I'm friends with the owner. I'll still get you a 250 million contract if you stay with us.. Caption this photo
Management is responsible for the players who are hitting .100 with RISP. They overvalued some players (Conforto, Villar, Almora Jr., etc.) and ignored those (Realmuto & Springer). That approach has led to the problem we see now. It's the same with pitching as the injuries mount. Management loves dumpster diving instead of getting quality front-line pitchers. Once again, as far as hitting, management didn't really attempt to address the hitting problem. They still believe the current players will come around. We are in August, and if it hasn't happened by now, it never will.Big problem with management but they’re not the ones hitting .100 at the plate with RISP

In hindsight, you are correct. However, I truly thought Lindor was the real deal as did most. The trade itself was fine. The contract, as you’ve said, was terrible. They did, however, dodge the Bauer bullet.Big problem with management but they’re not the ones hitting .100 at the plate with RISP

A few months into a 10 year contract- I am far from calling him a bust. That is just crazy talk.In hindsight, you are correct. However, I truly thought Lindor was the real deal as did most. No offense guys, but I'm following Betsy for Mets discussions from now on:We thinking on same wavelength ??
seconds apart ??
