From an organizational standpoint, this happened at the best possible time. You don't need a GM in September. There are no moves to be made. Let Theo hire his replacement.
If you are going to dictate to Epstein whom to hire as manager, you have zero chance of hiring Epstein.Thumbs down to Zak Scott. What a jerk. Memo to Steve Cohen: you better hire Theo with an ownership interest and Buck or Bochy as manager. Clean this organization up from top to bottom. Long overdue.
But. An article I read just now states that the affair at Cohen's estate ended at 8:30-9pm and that Scott departed at that time. However his arrest took place at 4:30 am the following morning. That would seem to remove Cohen from any culpability as its clear he must have continued his party elsewhere and that was where he got drunk that extent. If he had gotten so drunk at the fundraiser to where he fell asleep behind the wheel at a redlight then it would have happened well before 4:30 am. Nor would he have made it from Connecticut to White Plains, NY.Zach apparently got drunk at a Mets charity affair at Uncle Steve's estate.
Thankfully, Scott was not in a serious accident in which someone was injured or killed. If he had, Cohen would have been subject to civil lawsuit under NY host liability law.
Replies are classic. Reminds me of when the Corleones set up the Senator in Godfather II.
Wait until Mets announce that Lindor will be player manager. 😂Wow! You can always count on the Mets going Mets. My condolences.

Man… get rid of his ass once and for all!!!!!
Interesting. Good pick up. Hands rejected Mets to go to Nats to be their stopper. Lol
He was good with the Nats, with 21 saves before the trading deadline. The Nats sent him to the Jays as part of their July 30 fire sale. He had a very bad August and got DFA'd.Interesting. Good pick up. Hands rejected Mets to go to Nats to be their stopper. Lol
Mets really needed a hand in the bullpen. They got one.
I knew they would. Seemingly blow massive leads to them every time I dare look.Nats just blew a 6-0 lead vs Philly
I didn’t see the game but looking at the box- what exactly made this come up? Both seemed to have ok games. This Lindor/Carrasco trade just keeps on giving
There can be nothing bad to be said about this pickup- even if he ends up sucking. It is a guy we wanted in the off season and pitched well before the trade. He was good with the Nats, with 21 saves before the trading deadline. Probably the first pitch HR.I didn’t see the game but looking at the box- what exactly made this come up? Both seemed to have ok games.
Whining every game results in reverse jinx. There can be nothing bad to be said about this pickup- even if he ends up sucking. It is a guy we wanted in the off season and pitched well before the trade.
Another annoying first from CookieI didn’t see the game but looking at the box- what exactly made this come up? Both seemed to have ok games.
