I blame you for Lugo channeling DiazGet three outs now and get into their bullpen in extras, and we got a shot.
Here we gooooo!Get three outs now and get into their bullpen in extras, and we got a shot.
You gotta problem widdat?I blame you for Lugo channeling Diaz
Darling had it right. There was no chance that call would be overturned. They wanted no part of placing the runners.Fair ball
Feet inside line
Glove above knee
Ball was fair
Managing like a dead man walking.Rojas has made some unusual decisions this inning.
Baez's job is not to advance the runner there. His job is knock the run in and get on base himself, which admittedly he did not do. In that situation, you're playing for two runs. I don't want Baez hitting a weak grounder to the right side in that situation. Especially since he's not the type of hitter who can do it anyway.Rojas is an idiot, agree with Darling. And Baez strikes out and does not advance runner. Don't score and guy at second, recipe to lose.
It doesn't really matter, does it? Same result.Diaz'd you mean?
The knock on Rojas all year is that he is too formulaic, too much by the book with little feel for the game. The 10th inning was a microcosm of that. Three crucial decisions, all defensible by the book, but very weird in the context of the game.Managing like a dead man walking.
#'s 1 and 2 are mind boggling..... Neither Guilorme and Mazieka belong in the major leagues.....#3 continues to exhibit the absurd stupidity of Rojas......none of the moves above can be defendedThe knock on Rojas all year is that he is too formulaic, too much by the book with little feel for the game. - Guillorme for Pillar. Lefty-righty. But Pillar has produced some key hits, and Guillorme has hardly played.
- Mazeika for McCann. Again, lefty-righty. Admittedly not much to choose from. But the correct move IMO was Davis for McCann. Then Mazeika for the pitcher if it got that far.
- Pitching to De La Cruz. Again, lefty-righty. But if one guy is crushing the ball and the guy behind him is not...
Who the hell cares about that sh-t. Certainly nobody in this thread. On the day that Jeter goes into the HOF,a Marlin wearing #2 scores the winning run.
Pitching to DeLaCruz is not a problem with the roster. Shit move by Rojas there among many shit moves. The problem is the roster.

I think you're hard on Guillorme because he is not the typical player of today's game, home run or nothing.. Guillorme is a throwback to middle infielders who have a slick glove and are contact hitters. Guillorme showed last year he could hit. This year he has continued to show himself well when he's not injured. You can't say that for most of this team.#'s 1 and 2 are mind boggling..... Diaz'd you
Agree. Unfortunately, for this year it looks like the results will be no different. Underachieving grossly mismanaged team that gets injured much more than the average team.We once had Wilpon, BVW, and Callaway.

🤮🤧Moron had a base open and pitched to the hottest hitter.
That's not the point. The point is, to use a tired example, that you're rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. In almost any broad, long-term view of a baseball team, the manager is the least important thing.Pitching to DeLaCruz is not a problem with the roster. Shit move by Rojas there among many shit moves.
We mostly agree, but too many bonehead moves last night. I usually don't think about/blame the manager. Last night was just wacky, imo. That's not the point. Boneheaded moves have cost maybe 5 games this year and possibly more. But I am only going by ones that had an obvious direct account. We mostly agree, but too many bonehead moves last night. I usually don't think about/blame the manager. Last night was just wacky, imo.
As we know, the plan was for Sandy to step back, but for various reasons that plan fell through. I am confident that it will be successfully executed this off-season.Boneheaded moves have cost maybe 5 games this year and possibly more. But I am only going by ones that had an obvious direct account.
But it is also correct that is is only part of a much larger problem. Sandy needs to get away from anything that touches the field. He needs to worry about operations of the franchise. He is a smart man but as I heard it correctly, he is always one step behind.
Me like. 😁 😁 😁David Stearns is an interesting name. The Brewers denied the Mets the right to speak with him last year. But now that Stearns has just one year left on his contract, the Brewers may be willing to negotiate. Assuming Stearns is interested.
