The team on the DL seems like a potential playoff team. For the old timers on the board, I recall 1974 or so there being a shitload of injuries like this year. Maybe even 73 team had lots of injuries to overcome as well. Ugh. And we can’t blame Ray Ramirez. Lol.

My brother blew a fuse. He said in the 6th inning that Stroman was not going to see much of the 7th inning because Rojas is like a bad book. Stroman is cruising, and just because he walked a guy, Rojas would pull him. Even though Rojas knows his bullpen has been overworked, he would go to it anyway.

Can someone tell why Loop and May seem to always pitch in key situations when they have been so-so at best this year?

Remember who said several weeks ago to play the bench. Didn’t want it to happen with the injuries but bench / marginal players have fire which the regulars did and some do not.

I agree with you on Loup. He’s awful. No fire or guts. Pitches scared.
May however has balls. Pitches with fire. May can pitch on my team any day.
The beauty now once the regulars come back are that they will play with fire given the lift that the bench mob has provided. Plus the regulars falter - confidence is there to play the bench.
Will Peraza be DL’d? Never ends with the injuries.

I would run Reid-Foley before Loup. May has been getting hit hard. Both May and Loop have struggled of late. Hell, Yennsy Diaz couldn't be any worst.
Glad to see Lee finally get a hit at a key moment of the game. Also, excited to see Fargas come through too.
Mets have not yet decided who is pitching tomorrow. IMO if they don't feel they can start Lucchesi, then there is no reason to roster him.
I think the plan is for Reid-Foley to get multiple innings on Saturday and/or Sunday.
JD Davis played nine innings at first base tonight in Syracuse. That may be his best position, and he may get a chance to play it for the Mets soon. Probably no later than Monday.
