Rojas took Dom out for defense in the outfield. If Rojas is concerned about defense, then move Dom to first for McCann. Sometimes I'm confused by some of the moves.
Might be Doms knee bruise giving him 2 innings off standing in outfield
I wonder who goes down? I'm guessing Mazeika and Drew Smith. Plus since Lugo was on the 60 day, they will need to make room on the 40 man roster for him. My guess is that Tarpley gets DFA'D.
What difference does it make in a rout?
Unless they blow it in the 9th, all of the other teams in the NL East lost today.

I'd mentioned it because Rojas is inconsistent with his moves and I'm waiting to hear the reason. I was expecting him to grow into a more polished guy in explaining himself. Still, like his on-the-field moves, his explanation shows he's still learning.
Dang- even Barnes is pitching well now.

can’t believe almost everyone would have given up Nido for a warm body this past off season. Myself- didn’t care much as it is backup catcher but wouldn’t have cared at all if we got rid of him.
Drury May end up being a steal and McKinney is what you expect for BA but his pop is what we needed.

Amazing ! I had tickets for tonights' game as part of my season ticket package but it was too damn cold. Damn!
Will be in Lakewood later this week to see our Brooklyn Cyclones and will be in Trenton over the weekend to see our Syracuse squad. I love going to these games to scout our farm players.
I went to Trenton 2 years ago to see Binghamton and knew right away that Gimenez was all field / no hit and liked what I saw of Mazieka albeit knowing his skills were limited.
Can't wait to document to all the potential (hoping) stars we have in Brooklyn right now.
I did see Matthew Allan pitch 2 years ago in Brooklyn and liked what I saw. Shame he will be out for 12-18 months.

Should keep this a Mets fan only thread for a couple days. It's remarkable what they've been able to do with all the injuries. Rojas should be getting way more love from Mets fans.

Yeah, that sucks with the weather. Who would have thought it would be a wet evening in the 40’s in late May.
though, Walker is almost becoming a must watch pitcher this year.
I’ve been saying over the past month with all the injuries, “we need to just find a way to stay within 2/3 games off the leader until we start getting our starters back”
Who would have thought we would possibly be doing what we are. This has become one of my favorite seasons up to date.
Leaving for Arizona tonight, it is a bonus that the Mets play Monday-Wednesday against Diamondbacks. We have tickets for Tuesday night, just behind the Mets dugout. Tickets were cheap because Diamondbacks are horrible.

Yup, I remember your post, and your 100% right. There's way too many Monday Morning QB's from baseball fans in general, more so I think, than in any other sport. Rojas, seems to have the players behaving as individuals, giving them the rope to express excitement toward one another. This builds team unity I believe, and his moves though sometimes a head scratcher, have worked more times than not. Those are the moves the MM QB's always seem to forget, lol
Geez. You don't take anyone out for defense in a 10 run game. Its called giving them a break. Same reason that Atlanta took Freddie Freeman out. Notice that the other guy given the rest of the night off was Peraza who has also had a recent little tweak.
I was going to say that maybe they didn't want to take McCann out because he was the only other catcher available(not sure), but yours is a pretty likely explanation.

I was just going to post that I can’t see us playing tonight. But at least another day with everything else important going our way. Was/Philly lose again as do the Yanks.

Looks like @Knight Shift may get DeGrom tomorrow instead of Peterson. Unless they hold him back a day because of the travel

You may luck out...if Jake went into his pregame- do they try to rush him into a flight out there and warm up again or just push him to Tuesday...I’m thinking he gets pushed...
