Why don’t the Rumble Ponies play the Somerset Patriots? They’re in the same division.
Weird quirk with covid schedule but still don't understand why
Might go see Brooklyn play Jersey Shore today.

I didn't forget. Just wanted to needle Colbert after his post about a great game... for San Diego the other day. LolYou may be forgetting his complete game 15 k effort
Had to chk it out. 0.62 era. 93K's in 58 innings. I'm not sure which is more impressive.deGrom is unreal!
Off to see the future Mets tonight in Lakewood. Picked up a 3 seat social distance pod, along the 1b line for $18 each. Lakewood with a walk off double in the 9th to win it after trailing 4-0 and being no-hit into the 7th, 5-4. I'm thinking there isn't a closer at Brooklyn.
That's the problem with Tatis. I think that he leads the majors in errors for any position.Just wondering, how good is he in the field?
Tatis has another problem too- he has Judgitis...That's the problem with Tatis. I think that he leads the majors in errors for any position.
I think in 2023 or 2024 they'll move him to left field. The Padres have another young stud shortstop in Double A right now, C.J. Abrams, who is a better SS and a excellent on base guy with great speed. They'll plug him into the lead off spot and by moving Tatis to the OF cuts down his risk of injury.
Whats that?Tatis has another problem too- he has Judgitis...
Err, does this mean you think Lindor is OK in the field? That's the problem with Tatis. I think that he leads the majors in errors for any position.

What is the longest stretch of games played without the IL for Tatis?80 at most? Maybe???Whats that?
If it's a bad thing he's only 22, plenty of time for correction. Judge is 29. His case would be diagnosed as terminal.
I would say so. He earned mine, fwiw. But you got some here who will be pissed that he’s not Mariano Gossage.Just looking at some Diaz stats.
3.09 ERA. Pretty Meh, and I'd say not that good really.
BUT
10 saves and just 1 blown save.
AND, probably more importantly.
Zero HR's allowed thus far(no whammies). This after allowing 2 last year. So 2 HR's allowed in the last 48 innings. Of course he allowed a brutal 15 HR's in 58 innings in 2019.
Figure he has earned Met's fans trust in the midterm, but like any player, but maybe moreso closer's, will need to show he can hold up when the pressure builds late in the season, and fingers crossed, in the post season.
Just be Jesse Orosco and close out the World Series. LolI would say so. He earned mine, fwiw. But you got some here who will be pissed that he’s not Mariano Gossage.
A relief pitchers era is almost meaningless. Because they pitch so few innings compared to starters one bad inning can blow up their era.Just looking at some Diaz stats.

I think it is fair to note that they can be skewed by a bad inning, especially in this case with Diaz having had a bad inning relatively early in the season, but I would definitely not say the stat is almost meaningless.A relief pitchers era is almost meaningless. For relief pitcher, particularly closers, it is. More important are blown saves, inherited runners scored, etc.I think it is fair to note that they can be skewed by a bad inning, especially in this case with Diaz having had a bad inning relatively early in the season, but I would definitely not say the stat is almost meaningless.
Inherited runners is important,(but maybe less so for closers as they most often start an inning) as is blown saves, as is ERA.For relief pitcher, particularly closers, it is. More important are blown saves, inherited runners scored, etc.
Did not see game - what prompted THAT?Styling 💩👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻💩💩💩💩
And not a peep about Alonso, who was more culpable.Did not see game - what prompted THAT?
Before we won these last two I think they had won like 11 or 12 straight at home. I don't think they are nearly as formidable away from home. Their last road trip they absorbed a sweep at Wrigley Field.San Diego again? 🤦♂️
I think that West coast swing is gonna put a dent in Philly so I will root for them over the Braves. Besides at the end of the day as the defending NL East champs I still think of the Braves as the team we'll have to beat. Especially in our head to head matchups of which their will be plenty before the month of June is over.Phillies play Braves, Yankees then head out west for Dodgers and giants
Braves , Phillies Marlins Boston St. Louis
Villar DH Tuesday ?
McCann or Nido Wednesday ?
off Monday and Thursday
Friday night DeGrom 33,000 in the building should be a playoff atmosphere vs Tatis and the Padres
If Villar is healthy enough to play the field let Alonso DH and strengthen the D by playing Dom at first.Phillies play Braves, Yankees then head out west for Dodgers and giants

The D has actually been playing pretty well. I would let Nido catch and DH McCann. If Villar is healthy enough to play the field let Alonso DH and strengthen the D by playing Dom at first.
