The gervase kid is interesting due to height and arm angle. Hopefully he pans out along with the others.

Well, I guess he might just be a late bloomer, but the Diaz trade even with a washed up Cano is looking like a steal. Jarred Kelenic was once seen as a can’t-move type of prospect, and yet Divish hears from a scout that “the Mariners have made it clear they are willing to trade Kelenic to fill their immediate needs.” Kelenic has hit only .173/.256/.338 over 473 PA in his first two big league seasons, with 17 homers and 142 strikeouts in that small sample size. Even as he continues to tear up Triple-A pitching, Divish notes that Kelenic is having trouble hitting breaking pitches in the minors, and MLB pitchers have taken full advantage of his flaw. There would seemingly be some kind of sell-low aspect to moving Kelenic now, yet the 23-year-old would surely generate plenty of interest in trade talks.

Yep- that trade can now be called a success. It really only cost us money.

Looking at our needs and teams looking to move players- a guy named Soto that isn't going to look for half a billion $$ is the closer over in Detroit. But looks like they would prefer a trade that also involves their starter Skubal...I don't think we would need Skubal but Soto would be a great setup guys.
And the more I think about Flores- if we do not do a blockbuster with either the Redsox or Cubs- going out to get a guy like Flores would be great. Shouldn't cost much as a rental- you know he can perform in NYC and most likely would love to sign on a couple more years and a decent rate to stay if he performs well. Right handed DH and spell starters in a number of positions if and when needed. By all accounts- great clubhouse guy.

Hey, how about a "like" every now and then, God knows I give you enough. Don't want to tick someone off? LMFAO!!!!
ok- got your "like" lol I always prefer a positive quote but to be liked is good too. hahaha LGM!

BTW- have you notice angry WB isn't posting much again anymore or getting upset with me on the Yankee thread. It is only when the Met's are bad and the Yanks get on a dry spell when he does that. lol
And this may get him but not for nothing- with their bodies and history of injuries- why is there never any talk of Roids on that team over there...just saying. Their two guys and now even Rizzo kind of look like after photo's.lol

I've never seen a guy that picks so many fights with so many. Pats himself on the back about Gallo, but forgets how much he trashed Boone, Cashman and Stanton. All 3 of them have had a huge part of helping the Yankees to the best record in baseball. I think you call it ,"selective memory", right?

Just to be clear…,I love watching this team. They look like they are having fun. Heck with Vogelbach looks like after playing a softball doubleheader they are heading for beer, pizza and wings!

Calling it now. If they are a wild pitch with Vogelbach on third the catcher will head to the dugout before ever trying to cover the plate

Anyone going this week to the Somerset Patriots vs Mets? Will be there Thursday night right behind home plate to see some future Mets.

To the extent its a success, it only gets any positive view because we switched to a wealthy owner. Absent that, Cano would be a team-crushing weight bringing down much of the roster. And Diaz has been lights out for 3/5 of a year, good another year, eh, another year, and terrible another year. They all count. Let's see if Kelenic turns it around. It was still a dumbdy, dumbdy, dum-dum trade, one that might work out for reasons mostly unrelated to its merit.

Kelenic is back up with the Mariners, replacing Julio Rodriguez who is injured. Kelenic has gone from "can't miss" to "just might miss" but I am sure he still has significant market value.

Ramirez is quite the prospect. And mind you I don't know if anything led up to that: but he'll have to be careful bringing that standing and watching and bat toss to the big leagues. Of course should he ever play under Buck im sure that would be nipped in the bud.

The point of the trade was to get Diaz. Sounds like it worked out as a success.
