Which honestly makes no sense since IIRC Conforto was called up in 2015 during a pennant race and played in 56 games down the stretch giving the team a spark.
You can’t compare a 20 y/o catcher and a 22 y/o OF.
An OF gets maybe 3-4 plays a game and rarely a play that could decide a game.
A catcher- every single pitch.

He's hitting .187 in AAA, so it's not really a surprising statement.
A 3 hit game gets his BA up who cares about that. 119 wrc+.

That said I wait till next year.

And for whoever asked. Alvarez is a special talent. You can hand him the job as soon as the FO believes he's ready on D. This is the #1 prospect in baseball.

Walker may have hurt himself
Not pitching well

Said to wife …he’s only throwing junk cause he’s hurt , they are going to guess junk and crush one. Don’t take him out when it’s 5-0 take him out now

Not sure I'm following this.
his bat at AAA is not going to hold him back - they want him to be ready behind the plate and he is not there yet. You even try to bring him up as a DH- first, how much playing time does he get when your current DH combo has 21 HR and a .900 OPS?
And then he loses a bunch of experience he needs behind the plate

Monmouth/Ocean border is getting pummeled according to radar. 4+ inches and still pouring.
Yup. Not quite 4 inches, more like 2.5, but I can always hope for that.
measuring tape measure up GIF

BTW, speaking of coming up short:

Alonso needs to learn to hit the ball outside the reach of the outfielders.
Luis needs a longer glove and needs to bend over more when fielding grounders.
Naquin needs to take jumping lessons from Acuna.
And Nido not framing the pitches properly like McCann is causing the Braves offensive onslaught.

Not watching the game. Wondering why they didn’t take Walker out after this for precautions?

In what world does anyone keep him in after that- even as coaches and training are coming out- everything in Walker's face and actions says to get him the F out of there and in the training room asap.

A little premature for that, don't you think?
I watched his last three starts, definitely not as good as pre all star game. He got wins his first 2 but his pitches were up and seemed to get hit harder. First start I thought might be rust from longer layoff but no looking good.

He clipped his front cleat and did something to his hip
Few pitchers later threw a 92 fastball and booth said something is wrong
He threw 5 or 6 more that were all curves/sliders. That’s when I said to wife Rosario is going to guess junk and crush one , well he did.

not sure how this game ends but since the AS break- we have been seeing the team we loved early...keeps fighting
