All three of Eppler’s trade deadline position player acquisitions (Ruf, Naquin, Vogelbach), are turning out to be total busts.
I have to question bringing back end bullpen guys into a one run game late and watch it quickly turn into a six run game. To me you bring them in if it's a six run game at the time.

Funny how quickly the Mets went from a huge advantage no matter how you look at it to an almost must win game. From my point of view, I’d disagree with both of those evaluations. Tight race with lots of games to go.
Mets do have a schedule advantage, although I would not call it huge. That is irrefutable. Braves have seven left with Phils, we have seven left with Pirates.

Hope we're not beginning to witness a choke. One thing for sure if we don't come back on this one the enemy in Atlanta is going to pounce all over it and won't miss the chance to capitalize. And so far its the same old offense. Or lack thereof.
