Can just give the Braves the 3 Nats wins and FF to Thursday. Hopefully we hold on here and get 2 from MIL.This is the kind of game we've lost far too often in September. When we've failed repeatedly with RISP. But we absolutely need to get this win with the Phillies lying down like dogs and the Braves hosting the Nats next(sweep) while we have to go on the road to Milwaukee who is playing well of late.
Guessing you are a Phillies fan? If so, thanks for nothing the last 3 days. For the next 3 days:LET'S GO METS !
Did you bother to look at the thread before you posted? Not one kind word for Vogelbach. Not surprised.
Even 10-5 to end the season puts a ton of pressure on the Braves as long as we win at least one against them. Because then they have to be 13-4 to win it as we get the tie breaker if they go 12-5The Mets are going to win 5 of 6 on the upcoming road trip and then sweep the Marlins to put the pressure on Atlanta for the Mets trip south. #LGM
I was thinking about this today as well. Win one in Atlanta and we clinch the season series giving us the tie breaker. We have to go into that series up 2 games. If we leave Atlanta with a one game lead we should be in pretty good shape.Even 10-5 to end the season puts a ton of pressure on the Braves as long as we win at least one against them. Nido played well. 😜Not one kind word for Vogelbach. Not surprised.
Yes it did, but we could not possibly have recovered any better. Salvaged a 4-3 homestand, which will have to do. Would have done nicely, had the Phillies taken at least one from the Braves this weekend. The series against the Cubs hurt
Yes they can. Doesn't mean they will.Right now we are even in the loss column, I look at that as we are tied. They can make up the wins.
In the long run yes- but, in these last 2 weeks- it also means they still need to make up the 2 wins.Right now we are even in the loss column, I look at that as we are tied. They can make up the wins.
His hit was big late. Started the game winning rallyNido played well. 😜
He’s done nothing but good things since he came to NYC. Too bad hes gotten unnecessary grief for the obvious reason.
He came out of the gate fast and showed some life against his old team, the Pie-Rots this past week. But let's see how he does going forward. I'm not sold on him. He does need to produce. He’s done nothing but good things since he came to NYC. Too bad hes gotten unnecessary grief for the obvious reason.
As a Met, Vogelbach's slash line is .250/.396/.435. OPS is .832 and OPS+ is 139. He has most certainly met expectations. He’s done nothing but good things since he came to NYC. Too bad hes gotten unnecessary grief for the obvious reason.
We also just need to go 7-7 over the final 14 to be the first Met team since 1988 to win 100.Lost in the battle for first place is the fact that the Mets are on the verge of clinching their first playoff spot in six years. Even with the expanded playoff format, this is not inconsequential.
And yes, the Mets are planning to celebrate it. As they should IMO. It is the first intermediate goal on the way to the ultimate goal. All intermediate goals should be celebrated when reached.
Also- over the past month- our catchers are batting .307 with about a .820 opsAs a Met, Vogelbach's slash line is .250/.396/.435. OPS is .832 and OPS+ is 139. He has most certainly met expectations.
Nido seems to be pulling ahead. Sorry, Jimmy, gotta go with the bigger bat.Also- over the past month- our catchers are batting .307 with about a .820 ops
