Only the Mets would pull a guy pitching a perfect game. And you knew the next at-bat would break up everything.

Peterson and Megill in the BP has got to help. Patterson looked good in the role.

Give me Max/deGrom/Bassitt as my top 3 in the playoffs and a choice of Carrasco/Walker if needed.
I go to battle with them any playoff series
Carrasco > Walker.

If we clinch tonight , think about the date of 9/19 as the clincher date ! Unreal on how early it is! What a testament to this team !

Need 1st place !

Interesting comment. Inaccurate, but interesting nonetheless.
Okay, I stand corrected on "only the Mets".

Yet Kershaw went on the IL three different times after April. A lot of good that pitch count did?

I simply feel that as an organization that hasn't had a single pitcher no hitter, they should've thrown caution to the wind. No Santana's doesn't count. If they had replay in 2012, Beltran would've had a hit after review.

Who cares about a no hitter at this point ? It’s all about clinching a playoff spot / winning 1st place and winning a World Series !
Team has 2 no hitters in its history!
Could care less what you think about Johan s no hitter ! History books show a no hitter !

My viewpoint on tonight's game and Johan's game are deeply unpopular, I get it. It's simply how I feel, nothing more nothing less.

Did you see Scherzer barking at Buck after the sixth inning, irate about being pulled?

You didn't. Because he didn't. Because he wasn't.

You are absolutely entitled to your own opinions and feelings. What you are not entitled to is your own facts. Santana's Perfecto DOES count, regardless of your feelings.

Who cares about that. I'm sure there was a pitch count going in and there was no deviating from that for a personal thing over team goals. I bet any amount that Max couldn't care less about it.

The camera was on Max as he returned to the dugout after the 6th and warmly accepted handshakes and hugs. He clearly was elated with his performance, and had no problem with being pulled.

Glad they got this done tonight and not tomorrow with a day game following. And while the team is celebrating in the visiting locker room Buck and the GM are probably somewhere to try to figure out which of those guys in the locker room they'll have to send out tomorrow with Drew Smith looming. And Givens soon thereafter.

Clueless on where Max and the Mets are in the season with the playoffs 2 weeks away. The fact you use Santana in your equation makes me doubt your a real Mets fan so go to The Dead Zone, they could use the traffic.

Santana’s counts. If we can rewrite history then go back and give the guy one when the bad umpire call at 1st cost his.

No problem with the Mets taking Scherzer out in that situation. I’m sure that there was a pitch count which they were sticking to after him coming off the IL for the second time this season. He didn’t seem to mind when he was in the dugout after his performance.

“WIN NOW MODE” means going for a ring, not a perfect game.

You admit you get it, so why the "but"?
I completely get it and agree but…that but was just the fan in me. I want Max pitching against Atl next time we play and all through the playoffs.

I think we all want the division locked up more than anything. Being a Met’s fan for 50+ years- the no hitter is always our white whale though.
I would have still enjoyed it if we did another combined no no though
