And how Smith and his sub .600 ops is playing in the majors right now is mind boggling. They could have gotten something for him earlier this year.

Ask that about JD Davis. At least Smith is hitting over .300 since he returned with several extra base hits.

Hopefully this solves his problems at the plate. Better trade piece since I’d doubt he’d stay to be the DH/1B with Alonso for the long run.
