It would be a complete insult to every Yankees player who has ever been worthy of playing in the Old Times to insert that clown. Cut him and put him on a plane out of town. Can we end Gallo’s tenure with the Yankees today and put him in the Old-Timers festivities?
He will do that this year. He isn't a free agent until after the season. Roger Maris played on 2 teams before the Yankees and 1 after. The fact is the Freddie Freeman left Atlanta to go home not for money just to go back to LA. Judge is playing the same cards.Perhaps it would be a good idea to sign Judge long-term. He may break Maris' HR record. Keep it in the NYY family!
Freeman has a lot of regrets. He will do that this year. He isn't a free agent until after the season. Roger Maris played on 2 teams before the Yankees and 1 after. The fact is the Freddie Freeman left Atlanta to go home not for money just to go back to LA. Judge is playing the same cards.
Haha no he doesn't. Neither does Atlanta.Freeman has a lot of regrets.
Haha, yes he does. He said so and fired his agent.Haha no he doesn't. Neither does Atlanta.
I'd love to watch him hitting batting practice in pre game. Can we end Gallo’s tenure with the Yankees today and put him in the Old-Timers festivities?
On the other hand, there's always those who suffer the Chad Green situation in a contract year.
judge has to stay healty for the balance of the season. And frankly I worried when he landed after making that homer-stealing catch in the 1st inning last night.
Part ownership of the team? :)After this year, Judge's next contract proposal is gonna be 10 years like 5 billion dollars. And we need to sign it and move on. Congrats to him on putting together a year for the ages in his walk year.
Whatever works.Part ownership of the team? :)
Just think where this team would be without Judge. After this year, Judge's next contract proposal is gonna be 10 years like 5 billion dollars. And we need to sign it and move on. Congrats to him on putting together a year for the ages in his walk year.
Gallo not in the lineup for today's game as well.I can't believe that Joey Gallo is not in the starting lineup for tonight's game.
Is he in Boone's doghouse or something ?
I think Atlanta regrets it more than he does. He is a Met killer and having another huge year.Haha no he doesn't. Neither does Atlanta.
I believe your intent is to show the importance of Judge to the Yankees, with the emphasis on his performance since the all star break. Before the all-star break, I would have made an argument that Judge could be the centerpiece of a trade for Soto. Both power hitting outfielders, but the Yankees would get the one who is seven years younger and would have control over for a couple of years…
Your assessment is correct. The Nats motivation is Soto’s desire to leave.I believe your intent is to show the importance of Judge to the Yankees, with the emphasis on his performance since the all star break.
But, what in the world would posses the Nats to have any interest?
That is the key- why would the Nats trade a guy with 2.5 years control for a rental that they would have no hope of signing. They want a good MLB starter that is still under control plus a hoard of your top minor league players. If I am the Nat's- no talk even starts unless the other team has their number one almost MLB ready prospect on it.I believe your intent is to show the importance of Judge to the Yankees, with the emphasis on his performance since the all star break.

Cashman better do his job well at the break. This team has many cracks in its pitching. Getting Montas won’t be enough. Need two bullpen arms at least.Clay Holmes has not been looking good of late….blown save today and he’s all over the place.
Just watch...he'll be on IL within a week.Clay Holmes has not been looking good of late….blown save today and he’s all over the place.
Isn’t Holmes innings pretty much on par with just about every other closer?Just watch...he'll be on IL within a week.
Over usage of the bullpen in the first half is coming back to bite Boone in the ass.
One of my buds....not a Yankees fan....suggested the Yankees would soon go back to Chapman as closer.Isn’t Holmes innings pretty much on par with just about every other closer?
At this moment- I would doubt very highly if that is a plan…Most closers not named Mariano have a few games each year that they slump. One of my buds....not a Yankees fan....suggested the Yankees would soon go back to Chapman as closer.
Why are Redsux fans always such idiots ?
I think Holmes is your classic 8th inning guy and not really elite closer material. At this moment- I would doubt very highly if that is a plan…Most closers not named Mariano have a few games each year that they slump.
Now, it’s not to say, if Holmes really goes into a prolonged slump and Chapman is lights out, they have that option but it isn’t a consideration right now.
I actually agree with you. I said that one of my buds thought they should move back to Chapman as their closer. At this moment- I would doubt very highly if that is a plan…Most closers not named Mariano have a few games each year that they slump.

Back around 1998-2002- a few of my buddies and I would always take a weekend trip to Boston to catch a couple of games in their bleachers and party around town...never went for the Yankee series though- and always cracked me up that against a team like KC or the like, they would still be selling Jeter is Gay t-shirts and doing the Jeter Sucks in the stands.I actually agree with you. I said that one of my buds thought they should move back to Chapman as their closer.
But he's a Bosux fan. Aren't they all stupid ?
Except for Katie Nolan, of course.
Montas is pretty good and only on a $5 mil contract but arbitration eligible next year. Would still be a good value. Trivino...hmmmmmm????Yanks give up their three best pitching prospects....Waldichuk, Sears, and Medina...for Montas and Trivino (closer) from Oakland.
I guess I shoud be glad they didn't trade Volpe, Peraza, or Wells.
Actually, they gave up four guys...#5 rated prospect Ken Waldichuk, #10 Luis Medina, #20 JP Sears, and #21 (2nd base)Cooper Bowman. Sears has been up with the big club and has done well in several outings. Waldichuk is the guy that I was hoping they'd bring up in September...excellent stuff. Medina also is a hard thrower I was looking forward to being in a Yankees uniform sooner rather than later.Montas is pretty good and only on a $5 mil contract but arbitration eligible next year. Would still be a good value. Trivino...hmmmmmm????
I don't follow the minors that much for the Yankees- what were the expectations for the 3 guys they gave up?
Or F Altuve chant when not playing HoustonBack around 1998-2002- a few of my buddies and I would always take a weekend trip to Boston to catch a couple of games in their bleachers and party around town...never went for the Yankee series though- and always cracked me up that against a team like KC or the like, they would still be selling Jeter is Gay t-shirts and doing the Jeter Sucks in the stands.
Just seemed so stupid...
Well, until our RU fans started doing the same with non PSu games...:(
