Have to include Taillon in the mix especially since Cortes is on an innings count. German will probably be used as a long reliever.

Bullpen is a game of roulette right now. No idea what you’re getting from anybody from one night to the next.
In a few more games the Yankees will win the AL East. They should put all of the bullpen on the IL before the playoffs and give them rest. Bring up minor league pitches and see what they have.

When 3 is 2 and 2 is 3.... Oh, ho, ho it's magic!

I just realized whether the Yankees win or lose tonight's final game vs. the Red Sox, it's meaningless.

The Yankee Magic Number is 3. If it stays 3 all Yanks have to do is win vs. Blue Jays on Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Why? The Magic Number would come down to 1 but that would insure the Blue Jays could only tie the Yanks with their regular season record.

A Yankee win means they win the season series and holds the tie breaker on Toronto. So 3 is really 2.

BUT, if the Yanks lose the Red Sox finale and the next three to the Blue Jays, then their Magic Number goes back to 3 (2 becomes 3).

The NY Yankees win the AL East. Their #2 seed is locked up. Time to rest some players especially the bullpen which I have zero faith in. The offense isn't made for the playoffs but it is what it is. Let's see if Cashman analytics scheme can finally make it to the World Series.

Who is the nbr 1 seed and what is the advantage of # 1 over # 2?

Houston has a 6 game lead in the loss column and Yanks have 8 games remaining while the Astros only have 7. It’s not going to happen. Houston is the #1 seed, Yanks #2.

How far away are we from Houston, can we catch them?
No. Yankees have 7 less wins and are 6 back in the loss column. Houston hasn't lifted their foot off the gas yet. They might when they lock it up but they have too big a lead.

I hope Judge gets tonight off.

He needs a day off.

Last night between Doaldson and Stanton...10 ABs and 7 KOs.

The way this month is going Judge won't hit another HR and the Yanks go undefeated for the rest of the regular season and clinch #1.
Crazy, but there is a remote possibility that Judge can win the Triple Crown this year, and yet still disappoint some folks by not setting the AL HR record.

Take one look at today's Yankees lineup and you'll see what Judge is up against.
Why would anyone pitch to him ?
Donaldson and Rizzo have been in low 200s all season. Stanton went from all star to hitting 210 looks like he’s in a coma at the plate. Only guy hitting now other than judge is Torres

A Triple Crown is a much bigger deal then a home run record that will be over 10 home runs short of the MLB record. He needs to get hit. He has HRs and RBIs locked up.

Oh I know. Just saying that with all the focus given to the HR record, many are losing sight of the rarity of the Triple Crown.

As I literally type this, it's all a moot point now. 😀

Aaron Judge 61 home runs AND he didn't lose his hair like Roger Maris did doing it.

Speaking of which, kudos to the Maris kids for attending all their recent games both home and on the road for the record tying (and breaking?) moment.
Yes, classy thing by the Maris and Judge Families. I hope they go back to Yankee Stadium and watch Judge hit #62. It would be nice to have the crowd not only acknowledge and cheer Judge.... but to the memory of Roger Maris as well.

Many Yankee fans didn't want to see Maris surpass Babe Ruth back in 1961 and they let him know it along the way.
