OT-Presidents Day Snow/Rain and Warm Up Thread

I don't know about that, might depend on location...ground has been frozen for days, justbecause temps go above 32 doesn't mean the ground is

A) He's asking specifically about Camden / Burlington.

B) There's a difference between "ground (being) frozen" and pavement temps. Pavement temperatures are higher. Anyone who drives a car less than 3 years old knows this.
 
weather bureau is now reporting freezing rain in southwest and east central New Jersey. Let's hope the changeover to rain starts soon.
 
For the plow guys out there. Got around 3 inches in western Morris county. Will the rain wash that away or should I shovel?
 
Weather has delayed my flight from Chicago for over 3 hours...

Any weather will delay arrivals into Newark. The airport operates at capacity when conditions are VFR. When any kind of weather forces IFR conditions (instrument approaches) ATC rules require increased separation between arriving aircraft, which cuts the number of allowable operations by about 50%.

well not by morning but probably by 6PM tomorrow night. Its supposed to reach the 50s with heavy rain tomorrow afternoon. Tonight we might only get as high as 40 and the rain will be light before shutting off so that much snow isn't likely to go away by morning
 
I did hold class. There was light freezing rain falling as I traveled between Camden and Cherry Hill. I took it slow and was OK. Of my 18 student class, all but 4 showed up, which is good considering that many of them live at quite a distance from Camden.
 
Temperatures were slow to rise...im at 39 now Belle Mead and for people north of Trenton icing from freezing rain was/is a significant issue
