Are they really editing the old shows? If true, that is pretty lame.

Part of their reasoning for going to Sirius was that they wouldn't be censored.

Stern became exactly what he used to rail against. He is Imus now.

He even renamed some of the wack pack. Yes, some words have become taboo in the new PC, so Wendy is now Wendy the Slow Adult. Fine. But he still does bits with her that are extremely embarrassing to developmentally disabled people. That's another part of the show that I never got or enjoyed--busting on people with disabilities. Stuttering John bought into it and became a celebrity. But the wack pack do not get paid anything. He doesn't even call Jeff the Drunk Jeff the Drunk--he his Jeff the Bore. I guess there are a lot of Hollywood drunks that might be offended.

I tried Opie and Anthony, and Opie and Jim, but not my cup of tea.

Yes. I have an SIRIS/XM subscription that doesn't include stern. I pay about $8 a month. With satellite radio never pay what they quote you. Always demand a better deal. They will capitulate

never pay full price...I tell them I'm cancelling and they always offer me 5 or 6 months for 20 or 25...doing this since the second year Stern was on (the first paid full price)...

As a long time listener who did not make the jump with him to Sirius, I find it highly ironic that Howard made his career arguing with GM Tom Chiusano using the dump button to hack up his show and now he's doing his own editing voluntarily. And totally laughing his way to the bank the entire time.

I still enjoy the show. In some ways it's better, in some ways worse (tame). I miss Artie (going to see him this Saturday; saw him last year & he's a pro on stage).

I was recently wondering where Gottfried has been. Sad to hear he's likely been banned. He was great, especially when he & Artie would go on rants during the news.

My biggest beef with Howard lately is his unbridled support for Trump, which I consider hypocritical, since much of Trump's antics / policies are counter to what PC Howard has become. Stern only supports him because of their preexisting friendship.

I think Howard didn't think it was genuine on the part of Imus.

As I remember neither did the IRS.

This morning was the best show in years. There are a number of details so follow along
1. Hp Eric was found guilty of threatening the life of Fred the elephant boys life on Twitter, so judge wendy "the retard" thru the book at him- he needed to surrender his flat Ronnie and go in the gas chamber for ten minutes.
2. Will "the farter" came in wearing assless chaps and had HPE face at his buttocks for ten minutes
3. During the punishment, HPE voice dropped low, and Richard Christi thru up because of the smell coming from wills ass was so bad

It was definitely a throwback day

It was awful. Cringeworthy. But obviously, opinions vary.

That show hasn't been funny is ages. IMHO. Most just listen out of habit at this point.
