I know people may have gotten sick of all the "steep gradient" talk, but like last year's blizzard where LI got 2-3', NYC got a foot, NENJ got 8" and there was almost no snow west of the Delaware, the gradient this year may have been even steeper, from 1.8" in Scranton to 31.7" in Allentown, PA, just 48 miles south. Great graphic on this and great storm summary in the link below.Just north of Scranton, PA. A couple of flurries, ground is bare. And very happy about it
Were there actually flurries there? Thought it just got cold...Just Flurries in Ponte Vedra Florida.
Yes, I moved to San Jose in Feb 2011 and never made it to Tahoe. Moved to Tahoe in October 2011 as the draught was taking hold. I do remember it raining in the Bay Area seemingly every day from the end of Feb through the end of March that year. And then half of April. You missed the record breaker by a season, huh? 2010-11 was records all over the west - think Squaw broke 800 inches that year.
Pretty sweet because it came just three years after the 07-08 season that was also a monster at many big ski destinations. Since then, it's been pretty crappy in a lot of those areas.
You wouldn't call them flurries, Floridians would. 6 or 7 times for about 30 seconds. Definitely white frozen stuff in the air. Were there actually flurries there? Thought it just got cold...

I have no snow total for you, but I saw this on Twitter and thought it was topical
None in Maine. The MILF's at the Hillsborough Deli this morning said that had enough and are thoroughly satisfied. They will be resting for a few days now.
Maybe that's because they, like the rest of NJ, have no idea what exactly a Belle Mead is.
It's possible - the gradient was really sharp going from Bergen to Rockland Counties. Nyack only reported 5" (seems impossible, though), but other areas in southern Rockland reported 10-15", while areas not far from Montvale, like Franklin Lakes, reported 25".About 22-23 inches in Westwood, but my friend about 5 miles away in Montvale claims they got less than 10.
Numbers....so I wanted to bust on you again because I keep seeing the Metuchen 27.7 measurement on tv but then I saw in Belle Mead a trained spotter measured 28 inches...there is no way that is accurate....20-22 is more like it. My brother and I were out plowing in Belle Mead and they had far less than towns like Somerville and Bridgewater, in fact I even question if they hit 20 inches just by what we encountered

No chance 20" is right for Basking Ridge. I measured almost 30" in various spots in my yard -- the most snow I've seen here ever.
