Rank the 5 biggest games (wins or losses) in the last 20 years. Here is my rank:

1) 2006 v. L'ville (28-25 win)
2) 2006 v. WV (41-39 loss)
3) 2005 Insight Bowl v. ASU (45-40 loss)
4) 2014 v PSU (don't remember)
5) 2014 v Michigan (26-24 win)

You remember. We all remember.

Agree with your #1 and #2. #3 would be the 2012 ineligable lineman down field loss to Loiusville. We had a BCS game stolen from us that night. To me #4 would be when we beat 'Cuse the year we went 1-10 under Shea (96?). #5 2005 vs Navy making us bowl eligable.

I've never been to a big Heavyweight Fight but I am guessing that's how it feels.

1. Louisville 2006 - best game I've ever seen in person
2. WVU 2006 - best game I've ever watched on TV but another time when a bad ref call cost us a BCS bid
3. Louisville 2012 - lots on the line and the refs did us in again
4. PSU 2014 - first ever B1G game - bonkers crowd
5. Michigan 2014 - first ever B1G win - another bonkers crowd and an almost surreal feeling to the fact that RU was hosting Michigan on campus

The 2007 USF game was also great + very big but might have topped this list had RU not dropped games to UMd and Cincy earlier in the Cincy. Had it been another battle of unbeatens, it would have been #2 (USF) vs #3 (RU) with #3 winning.

Biggest Games that ended in a win:
1) 2006 v. L'ville (Pandemonium in Piscataway)
2) 2014 v Michigan (first Big Ten win, Turay's block)
3) 2006 v. Kansas State (first bowl win)
4) (tie) 2013/2014 Arkansas (swept SEC opponent, albeit a mediocre one)
5) 2007 v. USF (#2 in country, and we started their death spiral that year)

Biggest Games that ended in a loss:
1) 2006 @ WV (3OT, Slaten fumble, Townsend drop, RR interference - would have won the BE outright and gone BCS)
2) 2012 v. L'ville (ineligible downfield - would have won the BE outright and gone BCS)
3) 2005 v. Arizona State (first bowl game in 27 years, could have been first bowl win)
4) 2014 v TTFP (first Big Ten game, overthrow to Kroft, keystone cops broken play on defense... ugh)
5) 2011 v. WVU (why did we plow the field? could have been our first win over WVU in 17 years, in our last conference game with them)

Why not include the 1999 O.T. win over Syracuse as a 30 point dog?
Because it was our only win that year, to a 7-5 team, at the end of a season everyone had pretty much given up on. I remember thinking at the time that Cuse should be eliminated from bowl consideration for losing to us.

why not the win over MD as this was our largest comeback ever and solidified our first bowl game as a new member in the Big10

Greatest vs Most Exciting to watch makes this tough...

Beating NC on Devraun Thompson's stop was tremendous.

Tim Brown's catch vs UConn

I think I tried to limit my list to games that were big going into them, and then turned out to be great games. There were other great games, great endings, etc... but they were in otherwise meaningless games, or games that had less importance.

The Maryland comeback win to solidify the bowl game in our first Big Ten year might be #6 on my list.
