Harrison loses 5-3. Not sure how he didn’t get a 2 point reversal at the end

Kanniard looks a little small for 165 but handles his opponent easily 9-4

You can interpret it however you want. When I evaluate the talent of a league/organization, I look for depth. NJ sports doesn’t really have that. It has a bunch of sports dominated by then Bergen, Delbarton, CBA and St Joes of the world and then there’s everyone else. If you call 4ish teams dominating most sports in a state with 500 high schools a good thing, then we simply disagree.
Not sure about North Jersey private schools, but CBA only offers need based aid.

Once he starts shrinking his body to 157 he will get bigger. Now that he is going 165 with strength & lifting training in the offseason. We should see a transformation change in his body.

Harrison wins 4-2 in SV to advance in wrestlebacks

Benner loses 3-2 and is eliminated

Having these teams elevates the status of the state and the kids wrestling for said teams. Which to me is a net positive. Rising tide lifts all ships.

Malcom R. and Devon B. make it to the Semi finals

Metlars Loses and goes to consi's

Robinson wins 4-2 and advances to the semi’s

Metzlers loses 4-1 and falls to wrestlebacks

Britton wins 5-1 and advances to the semi’s

Gapas loses 10-2 and falls to wrestlebacks

If Rutgers continues to get shut out of recruiting Delbarton, like Blair, then it really doesn't help our program in any way to have these super HS teams.

Kanniard loses 7-4 to Julian Ramirez and falls for wrestlebacks. Former Blair kid. Cornell is going to challenge for the team title in a couple years.

Thought Kanniard wrestled tough.
Ramirez capitalized on a counter shot the first period which set the tone.

Harrison wins 8-2 and advances in wrestlebacks

So 2 guys are still in contention for 1st

4 guys are still in contention for 3rd

Just realized this but Max Dean is wrestling in this tournament while on Olympic redshirt. Not entirely sure why. Dude was a national runner up last year

Wrestlebacks:

Metzler wins 8-4

Gapas wins by medical forfeit

Harrison wins 9-2. He’s wrestled great all day.

Kanniard wins by medical forfeit.

This tournament recognizes the top 6 as All Americans so I guess next round is considered the blood round.

Rematch for Kanniard from 1st round.....I thought this did not happen until later in the wrestle backs

Robinson loses 3-0. Neither guy did anything. He falls to wrestlebacks.

Metzler loses 5-3 and is eliminated.

Britton loses 3-1 on a takedown with 10 seconds left. He falls to wrestlebacks. No champs for Rutgers this year.

Gapas loses 8-2 and is eliminated

Harrison wins 3-1 in SV and reaches the podium. Did not expect this kind of performance from him today. Happy for him.

Kanniard wins 10-4 and will also be on the podium

Malcom Robinson loses in SV
He has to be careful with his head slaps.
He was penalized in his last match and IMO he deserved another penalty in this match during the 3rd period...SLapped his opponent across the face....really surprised no point was awarded.

How many NCO champs have we had? Ashnault?
Billy and Anthony both, Scott DelVecchio, Santos, Anthony Volpe and Greg Zannetti in 2011, and future Rutgers transfer Ben Darmstadt

A bunch of guys have placed, including Firestone (4th), Lipari (3rd), Donner (5th), and Willie Scott (3rd),

WOW, did not know we had that many....Thank you

AND LOL about he Cornell 197 pounder.
If he does transfer, please don't go to PU or Rider!!

Britton loses 6-0. Will wrestle for 6th as well. Kid he faces beat the kid he just lost to.

Harrison gets credited with a NC loss and Kanniard credited with a forfeit loss. Not sure why. Match limit in a day?

FLWC goes for the titles from 165 - 197

Wonder where L. Fernandez is?

Kanniard is only wrestler to give Ramirez a match.
