Very good win. Team was in sync. Very good chemistry all over the field. More so than at Princeton. Put two good halves together today.

Goals by Erin Smith, Hayley Katkowski and Rachel Cole. Assists to Colby Ciarrocca and Erica Skroski. So far scoring has been much more spread out this year than last year. Hoping to get Madison Tiernan back soon, at least for the BIG opener with Maryland. This was Rachel Cole's first game back from an ankle injury & she found the back of the net. U Conn at home next Sunday. Should be a good one. Go RU.

What is the nature of Tiernan's injury. It has been impressive the way the scoring has been spread out but I think Madison is a big game player for us.

Very good team effort. Great defense again today as Casey Murphy had very little action.

A knee strain or sprain of some sort as I understand it. She didn't have the brace on today. Spoke to her after the game today but didn't ask her for the specifics of her injury. Said she hopes to be back next week, but depending on her progress, I wouldn't be surprised if O'Neil holds her out until Maryland the following week. Agreed that her return should make us that much stronger & more dangerous. Colby Ciarrocca has been a real good addition. Impressed with her skill level, as well as competitiveness & toughness. She has a nose for the goal.

I only caught the first half but this is a GOOD team and fun to watch.

6-0 and haven't let in a goal yet?!?!

This was the first game I was able to attend. Impressive outing! They controlled play from start to finish. It also looks like they are starting to figure out how to convert more of their double digit shots into goals.

I know conference play hasn't begun yet, but this is still nice to see:

I like the way the coach substitutes pretty much the whole bench over the course of the game. Everyone gets in to play it seems like.

I do too. Though I was hoping he would sub for his goalie in 2nd half in both Princeton & Drexel games after we were up 3--0 in each, would give his other keepers both some game experience & a bit of reward.

Even as a former goalkeeper I agree and was thinking the same thing...but subbing keepers isn't done very often. I also think Casey is starting to be looked at by some as the potential replacement for hope solo down the road. A record string of shutouts could really help raise her profile. Maybe we will see a couple of the other keepers if a goal does go in eventually.

Had thought of the Casey angle as well. Still don't think it justifies not giving the others a shot. Her scoreless streak would still be intact, if not the teams. Beyond that our D wasn't even allowing a legitimate scoreing threat. Be that as it may, I still like O'Neill a great deal & the way he handles his players & the club.

I think he is likely still trying to figure out what he has. I bet he subs less liberally against better teams.

Really love this coach.

Many bitched that Julie hired "in-house" when Crooks stepped down but a few big-time soccer people told me this was the perfect move. Looks like they might be right. So far, so good, right?!!

Mike is a big, big deal at PDA and has recruited many PDA players to RU including from PDA in South Jersey. The High School "Player of the Year" in NJ girls soccer transferred to Rutgers from Vanderbilt because of her relationship with Mike at PDA where his team won a National Championship.
