With risky plays like the fake punt, I think Flood might be beginning to re-think what he thought was the civil service nature of his job security.
I 'm convinced Flood is a seriously disturbed individual. This isn't just bad coaching, it's so much more. There's is something dark and strange in the way he's treating Rettig. It's not normal behavior even for the most incompetent coach on the planet.

If there was ever a time not to go for it, that was the time. Their qb was hurt on the previous possession, it was a two score game. If you miss, game is basically over. Punt was the obvious call

Yeh the defender gave him 2-3 more yards but CL went for the slide. CL needed to put his head down and fight for it there.

Agree. A nice run by CL, but a savvy QB has GOT to know where the 1st down marker is.
