What is this guy's job at SL? All he does is aggregate opinions about RU from other sources to then list for the public on nj.com. We already know that Politi is the "chicken little" of yellow journalism and Sargeant is using his previous all access to the RU program to report when Julie farts and doesn't say excuse me. I have friends from out of state thinking that RU is run amok with delinquents and that there is carnage spread across the streets of New Brunswick. Is this what NJ reporting on the state university has come to? Give it a rest already.

We went from craving media attention to nj.com throwing up any content possible about Rutgers Football. Duggan pumps out a ton of one sided stories with very little depth and zero fact checking. Rinse repeat.

Its pretty simple, his job is to drive traffic to the website by regurgitating bits of other stories on topics that people care about. Once he has the repurposed drivel organized into new columns, the headline writers do their best to sensationalize them and make them sound like actual news.

I wonder if this is what he hoped for when he was in college. I'm gonna guess it wasn't.

I haven't read jack on there today, but there's a reason Joe Schad reported the Rutgers starting QB last week and not NJ.com. They have zero contacts within the football team. At this point you and I are more likely to find out what happened to Carroo then they are. Heck, they'll probably find out from the premium board.
As much as I find guys like Adam Schefter annoying, he works his ass off and does it the right way. Dugan is still a young guy. If he wants to have any sort of career as a sports journalist, I'd leave nj.com asap. They've burned all of their bridges.
We're fans who post on a message board. We're expected to say fire the coach. But when a guy like Politi can't wait until the actual news to come out to say fire Flood, then it's pretty clear he doesn't care

Duggan = recycling + hamburger helper .... rinse & reapply .....

simply gather up stuff in the public domain (obtain original content? why?) and mix in fluff ... print ... then 2 hours later take virtually all of the same content - re-prioritize the material - select different lead point - print again as though it was a new article - lifting whole paragraphs from prior articles - - in high school or college you would get slammed for plagiarizing yourself - but in the world of NJ.com - there are no quality standards - so anything goes.
