I don’t understand why guys like him were even playing at that point of the game
Shutout likely not going to happen. Not sure why risk injuries to starters, particularly, Lewis.
As conservative as GS is on offense, it’s equally aggressive on defense. Agree that lots of these guys shouldn’t be in there right now and it’s all about the SO.
I do not like how we finished the game. Turnover, penalties, etc.
Did what we’re supposed to against NW, take the nice win and move on. I’d expect something similar against Temple but we’ll see.
I was fine with how they played all game until the dropped punt. The missed FG I can deal with. Punts I was fine with.
We talk about Greg wearing black but the NW guy is in Long sleeves and a vest. I thought they were supposed to be smart over there?
A win is a win but very unhappy with 2nd half big letdown from the final 2 series on in 1st
Can’t complain about the kick off unit either. All touch backs, right?
I wonder which team a certain NW alum commentater thinks s/b ejected from B1G now.
Sorry but we did absolutely nothing to expand conservative playcalling and did nothing to expand the field. That playcalling against OH St. MICH, Mich St, Penn St Wisky will be shutouts
The defense holding NW to 12 yards rushing is a big deal.
They did not need to expand the play calling.
Very very happy with defense. Rochelle have no idea what he was thinking with those back to back fumbles at punt return. Maybe he's not getting the burn he thinks he should but that is not going to get him on the field more. Mistakes are mistakes but mental mistakes are 10x worse. Means your head is not where it needs to be
Contributing factors to the dropped ball:
1) The return man should not chase the ball for more than 5 yards. The ability to stay focused and catch the ball drops by tenfold.
2) Mistakes by a young guy in his first extended play at an important position. It usually means he's trying too hard.
