Nice Write-up...not sure if this is a competing site or just a sports blog.

Summary: Don't run with them, or the game is over. Slow things down, and take advantage of their over aggressiveness - back cuts, pump fakes. And sell out on the offensive glass. Defensively, pack it in and force Florida State to become a jump shooting team.

He says they are a team that is good in transition yet says to sell out on the offensive glass. Can't do both!

What scares me is the last 25 seconds of half 1 against ECU. I fear that without Sanders in the game we may see some full court pressure and i am not sure how Geo Baker, as a freshman, would handle it. I am thinking this could be a 36 minute effort from Corey. i worry about what is left when it matters the most.

Interesting that the writer is predicting a close win for FSU, at 72-68.

We're still going to try and run...guaranteed. We're a transition team, and it's been our best way to generate offense.

After the First 5 games I am not sure I would call Rutgers a transition team. The two highest games for Fast Break Points is 20 ( CCNY) and 12. It may be what Pikiell wants to do, but, it is not our identity. I do agree, it's our best way to generate offense.

IMO, Our identity is still tough half defense and rebounding.

The pressure defense and "live ball turnovers" can be killers--and, on paper, make a good defensive effort look bad. In half court, gotta go with backdoor cuts, slip screens, lobs, stertching them to close to half court (Geo's gonna have to be the man--the one tall enough to get over the trap).then converting if you create 3 on 2 or 4 on 3.

I think defensively FSU will gamble and challenge us to hit threes (even if they're open) and make foul shots. The vets Corey (making smart decision sabout aggressiveness and pace) and Deshawn (about attacking paint and kicking out) are gonna be key. Issa is also a big question to me--he looks like his game's grown since last year but against a good team does that go out the window.

We have to shoot above our precentage from 3. Thirty-percent on 3's--I want Geo, issa, and Mike taking them, not Corey--and we win.

unfortunately 2 turning points was giving Corey rest at 2nd media TO and the Freeman cramp.
