Take a happy pill, dude.
Mets are 11-8 vs. Nationals this year. 6-13 vs. Braves. That speaks volumes.

1-6 vs. Cubs this year, but have not played them since June.
11-8 vs. Phils.

Um ..... Mets are 4-9 against the Phillies, 10-6 against the Nationals, 5-11 against the Braves and 2-2 against the Cubs

But that was before the Mets turned around their season. At the same time Philly has mounting injuries and haven't been playing good baseball of late.

Think you are 11-5 v. the Nationals. You were 9-4 v. the Nats before 5/29. 5/29 is also before we turned our season around. Think we were about 12 under .500 on June 1.

The offense has cooled down considerably lately. During the last 7 days: JD under .200; Rosario cooler and striking out more; Panik like he was in SF; Frazier still not hitting; Conforto at the Mendoza line; etc. Conforto can be hot and cold for long stretches. Were the others just hot, or can they rebound and hit better again? If they can't, the Mets can find themselves on the other side of the .500 mark again and soon.

Yeah, Stroman has not been good for the Mets. He's been ungood. The Mets winning his games to date has been despite his performance, not because of it. And unless they hit again tonight, they will not win.

There’s like a whole month left and 8 teams in the NL wild card...a little early to give up. Shaping up to be a fun sept for the NL WCs

Last 7 days:
Rosario 6/28 0.214
Alonso 4/24 0.167
Conforto 5/25 0.200
Davis 4/23 0.173
Frazier 2/18 0.111
McNeil 2/9 0.222

Not a recipe for winning.

At least Ramos is hitting 0.450 over the 7 day stretch and 0.380 over the last 30 days.

And very few of those paltry amount hits are of the impact variety. Meaning with runners on base or in scoring position.

File this in the who'd a thunk it category. Was just checking out the scores from last night's games and happened to notice who got the save in the L.A Angels win last night. Robles. Upon further inspection I found out that it is indeed Hansel Robles. His 19th as it turns out. 0__0

As the old adage goes, you're never as good as you look when you're going well, and you're never as bad as you look when you're going poorly. But as fans we tend to overreact in both directions.

Justin Turner batting .294, 24 HR and 61 RBI.

I think you'll see, generally, that teams that score the most hit the most. Very infrequently--if ever--will a team lead the league in scoring but not have great hitting stats other than hitting with runners on base or in scoring position.

In other words, the problem is hitting, just hitting. If they do that, the runs will come.

Had first row seats on top of the dugout last night of course we lose. Stroman stinks. BVW's big moves have been an abject disaster.

report Mets will be parting ways with pro scouting director Jim D'Aloia.

Jim is well-respected/liked by Mets folks.

Sources continue to say Mets' behind-the-scenes is an ugly situation right now, and expectation is plenty of turnover.

I think met fans are math challenged...one month left and what? 3 games out?
