Please say no to this. I don't think David Wright was ever the same after that HR Derby.https://www.newsday.com/sports/base...wsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Sports
You think the HR derby in 2006 ruined him? He had his best season the next year.
Wright's career was harmed by injuries and Citi Field.
Crazy season for both NY teams. And it's only April.MRI on DeGrom elbow. Season on the verge of finito.
Wasn't really pointing a finger at you, just Yankee front running fans in general. Injuries are a major part of the game, some years really suck more than others. Looking like deGrom could be out a long time. How can you think they were going to have a great start with 12 guys on the IL??
As far as posting I don't post everyday on that thread win or lose. Mostly I post when it's an outstanding/ effort like Paxton the other night when he was on fire. Or the shortest Yanks Sox in 30 years.
Win or lose there is really nothing so far this year to praise or complain about Boone. So that's not an everyday topic. They aren't hitting which is a part of the IL and their general makeup.
Mets fans posting everyday doesn't make them better fans just bigger complainers [winking]
I would not be shocked if it’s because Calloway has had degrom throw 115 pitches twice so far including in a game when they were up 9-1 vs Marlins in 2nd game of year. Said to myself wtf when this was happening.
The mri is tomorrow. How do you know it’s a minor injury? It's a minor injury, relax
I don't usually pick a Met game to watch when the Yankees aren't on but a fan of deGrom and always tune in. He has moxie.Wasn't really pointing a finger at you, just Yankee front running fans in general. Injuries are a major part of the game, some years really suck more than others. Looking like deGrom could be out a long time.
Honestly, if you took out the posts that are troll posts from the Yankee fans and the bitching ones from the Mets fans you'd probably trim at least 5-6 pages off this thread. You can tell that from the fact there are, like every year,5 times as many posts and views in Mets threads as there are Yankee threads.I haven't posted in the Yankee thread in 2 months, yet Yankee fans are all over the Mets threads.I'm guessing it's boring as shit over there until they start winning. Do any of you guys feel you brought on bad karma by always mocking on the Mets injures over the years only to see it come baCK TO BITE YOU IN THE ASS?
Agree with this 1000%Honestly, if you took out the posts that are troll posts from the Yankee fans and the bitching ones from the Mets fans you'd probably trim at least 5-6 pages off this thread.
I only want to participate in a baseball thread when there's something interesting to say. Most everyone on this board just seems like they want to hear themselves talk, hence people with 27,000 posts and a cesspool of current event talk.
According to the Mets past, this looks like the Mets medical staff will have to cut off degroms pinky toe. It's a minor injury, relax
Rut Roh. Losing DeGrom would end the season.....just like the Yanks losing Judge.MRI on DeGrom elbow. Season on the verge of finito.
The mri is tomorrow. How do you know it’s a minor injury?
Lmao, good stuff.According to the Mets past, this looks like the Mets medical staff will have to cut off degroms pinky toe.
Mets Medical News = Fake News........we all can read.....it's understanding what you read and where it's coming from that's relevant....not what a reporter thinks or has been scooped per the idiots that run the MetsBecause I can read
Nope. They just view him as an 80 pitch guy nowadays. Why did Vargas get pulled after 4? Was it injury related?
Vargas may be better than what the Mets have for 6th through 8th innings. The bullpen is a piece of sh*t outside of the closer.Nope. They just view him as an 80 pitch guy nowadays.
Vargas... with an XMickey just announced that Chris Flexen will be called up to pitch tomorrow.
I predict DeGrom is on the DL before the summer hits .
Need to look back at this page in August . That’s always fun.

Just get the MRI done so that there is A BETTER CHANCE OF CATCHING SOMETHING instead of snapping his arm off because he felt fine enough to pitch.Degrom actually threw today. Said he felt fine. Still will be examined by doctor but maybe no mri necessary. Degrom is confident he pitches on Friday. Please get mri done just to be safe and sure.
For now. More on the way, although Dunn will be missed.Mets have now emptied the well of young pitching.
Not nearly as chunky as I recall him though. He now passes the eye test. So there's that.Flexen can't pitch up here.
