I seriously doubt they will add anyone to help their chances. Until they do, THEYRE ALREADY OUT OF IT.You counting the Mets out already?

Only reason I am not yet is because no one else is running away with it but...with that said, we ain’t winning or getting to the WS this year. I would rather free up Todd’s money, get some depth in the minors and use his money elsewhere.
His value is going up right now and if he stays hot but we don’t make huge gains as a team, get the best deal we ever will for him.

I see a difference in the team with the way the starting pitching is going deeper into games. The strength of this team, like in 2015, is the starting pitching. No one other than the Nationals have a starting staff that can compare and the fact no other team in the division is running away makes it a real possibility the Mets could still win. The beauty of this division is no one has claimed it even though Philly and Atlanta have played excellent ball up till this point. If the Mets continue to take the same approach they have over the last few games, there is no reason NOT to believe they are back in the race. Good pitching shuts down a good offense. Daniel "Mets killer" Murphy was 2 for 11 with 6 strikeouts. The Mets took the best offense in the National League and shut it down with ease. As long as Mickey Moron stays away from going deep into the bullpen, the Mets have a shot. Time for BVW to start making moves for middle relievers.
I see the key to the Mets success starting with the 5 starters going deep into games like at least 6 innings, but 7 would be great. From there go with Lugo and Gsellman (to a lesser degree), sprinkled in a little Font (1 inning max) and limited Familia exposure. Maybe twice a week you throw in Santiago. Diaz is your closer. The rest of the bullpen needs to be recycled to another team or place. I sure there are some middle relievers available for a reasonable price/deal without breaking the bank.
Nope I read they wanted to give him a day off. I know he just got back from injury.
I was sure you were correct that they said it but I meant that I hope you were repeating it in a sarcastic manner as in, "you got to be shitting me"
Actually excited to see this lineup with the DH tonight. Nimmo should be back shortly also.
Why is Harvey pitching? He looks good tonight!!:confused:McNeil 2B
Conforto RF

Ramos C

"It was twenty years ago today
Bobby V done led the umps astray..."
Actually, twenty years ago yesterday, but close enough.
"Is that you baby, or just a brilliant disguise..."
Yankees open the stadium fully knowing it will be a rain out. Disgusting how they open the gates and let patrons in to spend money on food and beer fully knowing they were going to cancel this. Oh and extra $45 if you parked your car.

But I thought they ran a 1st class organization? This isn't the 1st time this season they've done this. With that said, I wish the Mets organization was run 1/10th as well, top to bottom as theirs. There,I said it, Yankee fans. PS> The Mets have running the bottom part down pretty well, the top, not so much.:cry:Yankees open the stadium fully knowing it will be a rain out. This was such a Wilponian move.Yankees open the stadium fully knowing it will be a rain out. Disgusting how they open the gates and let patrons in to spend money on food and beer fully knowing they were going to cancel this. Oh and extra $45 if you parked your car.
On the Michael Kay Show several weeks back they spoke about this is standard policy for the Yankees, and it's not right for the paying customer. Not sure what the procedure is for the Mets. This was such a Wilponian move.
Well Mets fans have to work today.Has to be the smallest Subway Series crowd ever.
Mr. Sanchez appreciates your fine bullpen.Mickey waves the white flag by leaving Font in to pitch Yankee batting practice for game 2.
Yanks are just much better
Nothing the Mets can do about it.
Thanks for your opinion that no one wanted or asked for.
He did just have a 118 pitch complete game shutout !??!
Bump!Vargas is the ace of the staff right now over the past several weeks.......
