8th inning, only got to third on hit by McNeil. If pinch runner scores on double all Conforto had to do was pull the ball to 2nd in 9th.

Oh of course, that. I guess because Ramos was not the tying run. Plus when you pinch run for Ramos you lose two players, unless you use Nido to pinch run. Not going to kill Mickey for that one.

Need to make it a one run game. Thought a dumb move. Bullpen is the problem.

The Mets should emulate Tampa and have a reliever like Gsellman; Font etc start and pitch for the first 1-2 innings. Then bring the starter in the 3rd inning leaving Lugo and Diaz for the end. Usually hitters are sort of lethargic at the beginnnig of a game which I'm sure metrics and analytics can prove.. Can't hurt. If it works for Tampa and Chaim Bloom, it works for me!

Which is sad, since you guys seem to have some good young talent on the field. Dump Mickey and BVW, hire Joe G and a competent GM, you guys will be fine.

I don't see how Callaway could be allowed to come back and coach this team tomorrow. The past week has been an absolute disaster. This nonsense has to end.

Will never happen as long as Jeff Wilpon is calling the shots.

I'm usually against boycotting your sports team, but in this case, Mets fans should organize a planned boycott just outside Citi Field the next home game.

Not inside the property. Don't give the Wilpons parking money.

But a large protest and boycott. Don't use or sell your tickets, eat them.

Notify the media so you get press attention

Your owners don't care about winning.
Been awhile since I 100% agreed with you,lol

Agree with you 100% But will never happen because the same people will still keep going to these games and expect a different result. I was going to get 2 tickets with the 13 Game Plan this season but thought better. Only got 2 games this year and will only go to my last one because its with my son. Otherwise I wouldve ate them.

And the sad part is that if the Mets will ever get better, the raise in ticket prices will be more than usual to justify the raise.

Keep opening this site expecting/hoping to read there's a news conference and the Mets are making sweeping changes, oh well, just another day in Mets Land.

Out of stater - haven’t been to a game since Game 3 2015 vs LA. Which was a tad bit enjoyable.
I was also at the game with my brother-in-law who is a diehard Dodger fan, going back to the Brooklyn days. Enjoyable indeed, but tainted with the memory of Goeddel failing to close it out with a nine run lead. Which prompted Collins to bring in Familia with a six run lead. Thought that decision may come back to bite the Mets later in the series, but it did not.

Oh well, no point in looking backwards when the future is so bright.

There is a ray of light today although it doesn't move the needle in the short term. Mets have reportedly now signed all of their top 10 picks in the recent draft. Including that pitcher Allan who had a mid 1st round grade but slid to round 3 because it was said he was asking for a huge bonus to walk away from his commitment to the U of Florida.

Does this mean that they can put pitcher Allan in the pen tonight?

The downside is that Van Wagon Wheel just traded him and their first round pick for Chris Davis.

Yeah they actually did a great job in the draft this year. I will give them credit for that!!

But then we get the news Cano 3rd yet again. Oy.

BVW put together the bonus pool credit to sign Allan, their #3 pick with #1 talent, by scrimping on picks 4 through 10. With those picks they drafted only college seniors with no remaining eligibility. These guys tend to be lesser prospects, as the blue chippers tend not to hang around for senior year. Lacking the option of returning to school, the seniors have no negotiating leverage and can be signed for chump change. And that is what the Mets did.

So in essence, they traded their 4-10 picks for another #1. A bold strategy and we'll see how it works.

So these guys are good already? We don't know, so he could just have easily picked bad prospects.

We do know, however, that he traded two #1 picks this off season for a 36 year old with 5 years $100 mm left on his contract and a closer, and that those #1 picks are performing very well this year. We do know that.

LOL I guess you've never read my previous posts in this thread.

That Cespedes unparalleled jack was one of my favorite live sporting event moments - ever.

-Keep Dominic Smith in Left Field until he cools off.

-Jeff McNeil should be an All Star with Alonso.

-Cano is 0-3 with 4 LOB.
