That can be misleading. In how many AB's? Has he just landed at that level and not had many plate appearances yet?Mets get AA catcher Austin Bossart
Guy is hitting 0.195 in AA. I hope he is a good fielding catcher.

Okay. Well never mind then. That can be misleading. In how many AB's? Has he just landed at that level and not had many plate appearances yet?

Because they are all going to need to be paid. And you can't pay everybody. More specifically, the Wilpons won't pay everybody. Why trade any of the starters? Degrom, Syndegaard, Stroman, Wheeler and Matz is not a law firm. What it can be is the best rotation in the game bar none. All under 30 except one.
We are talking about the Wilpons and they already started by trading Vargas for a Catchers Mask when they couldve gotten a decent player for him. Not a top prospect but better than a .159 hitter.Being serious for a post - Mets are silly to trade NS. He is under control for another year. Mets need to get rid of the garbage, get their young players to the right positions, hope DS can learn to be an OF in the off season, and sign FA bullpen help. They don't need to get cute.
159 is 159 no matter how you look at it.That can be misleading. In how many AB's? Has he just landed at that level and not had many plate appearances yet?
Hmmmmm......Ervin Santana was scratched from his start today for Mets AAA team, has pitched well his last three starts. Could something be up?
Sure, something could be up. Or it could just be contingency planning. We'll all know soon enough.Ervin Santana was scratched from his start today for Mets AAA team, has pitched well his last three starts. Could something be up?
Look on the bright side, at least you are not also a Rutgers football fan. Oh wait. :)We are talking about the Wilpons and they already started by trading Vargas for a Catchers Mask when they couldve gotten a decent player for him. Not a top prospect but better than a .159 hitter.
This was a reason why they went with BVW instead of Bloom. Bloom wouldve cursed out the Wilpons for suggesting such a deal while BVW said: OK. Theres a reason why Tampa is ALWAYS habging with your guys and Boston with half the payroll. Imagine Bloom with the Mets cleaning house. Might be up there with Houston, Tampa, Atlanta in no time. Hell, as good as Cashman and the Boston GM are, I could imagine him in those two spots. But the Mets have the perfect Yes Man in charge who royally screwed up when he was given keys to the car (Cano contract).
I actually agreed with everything you said. They have a great rotation next year as is, esp having D. Smith in LF. If they concentrate on getting bullpen help, they will definitely make up for those 23 blown games that they have this year. But of course Thor pissed them off so he must go for 2, .203 hitters and cash and maybe Wheeler as well for the rights of Wilmer Font. And BTW, who does the Mets have in mind to pitch in place of Thor and/or Wheeler?
Why do I even bother being a Mets fan when other teams like Houston, Dodgers, Cubs, Tampa, Red Sox, Yankees, etc have turned it around in different ways?
No it's not. 159 in 20 at bats is not at all like 300 ab's. Jeff McNeil may have been hitting 128 after the first week of the season for all we can recall. And Juan Lagares might have been hitting 400.159 is 159 no matter how you look at it.
Upon reflection, the Santana scratch has to be in anticipation of him taking Wheeler's start on Thursday, rather than Syndergaard's start tonight. Unless Santana is en route to Chicago as we speak, which has not been reported.

If the Mets allow Thor to pitch tonight, then I think he's staying.
Freaking BVW being cute again instead of making the right moves for the MetsErvin Santana was scratched from his start today for Mets AAA team, has pitched well his last three starts. Could something be up?
No such thing as 159 in 20 at bats. If you want to get technical, 150 is 1 hit in 20 ABs, 2/40, 3/60. In this case its 39/200. Is this really a MLBer you want?No it's not. 159 in 20 at bats is not at all like 300 ab's. Jeff McNeil may have been hitting 128 after the first week of the season for all we can recall. Based on what the insiders have said Tatis will not be a part of any Thor trade. I think SD is done with talking trade with the Mets.Bauer to the Reds in a 3 way with the Padres and Tribe. Trammel goes to SD. Could Thor be in play for Tatis?
Then don't trade him. That is the level of prospect you need in return for Thor.Based on what the insiders have said Tatis will not be a part of any Thor trade. I think SD is done with talking trade with the Mets.
The Mets were trying to hold teams hostage in a thin market. Usually it's the other way around. Unfortunately, no one is biting right now. Then don't trade him. That is the level of prospect you need in return for Thor.
Edwin Diaz. Thats why. He doesn’t have mental composition for New York type of pressure. He’s all over the place now.Do people realize the Mets are 6 back of the 2nd wildcard spot with 2 months to play. Why are people ready to give up? They were 10 back at the all-star break 2 1/2 weeks ago.
