Alonso's problems are mental. Every team is pitching him the same way with fastballs up in the zone. He's late with his swing. It looks at times as if Alonso doesn't see the pitches as there are coming in. Has he hit the rookie wall?

HR Derby curse. Same thing happened to Judge for a month of so after that event.Alonso's problems are mental. Every team is pitching him the same way with fastballs up in the zone. He settled in after that hit's bats man.Dodged another Diaz disaster somehow

We'd all love to see him just pitch clean innings, but I give him credit for not falling apart after a bad first batter.
He's surviving lately.
I'm admittedly searching for glimmers of hope.He has a chance to settle in against a bad team with a 4 run lead. Won’t get that chance with Nats this weekend. Nevertheless I like the fact that he kept the pitches low.
It is nice to get 7 innings out of DeGrom and still get him out of the game with under 100 pitches. You do want him as fresh as possible heading down the stretch.Back to .500! Now it really starts to get interesting!!
I would left deGrom for one more inning since we have a double header today. He was only at 94 pitches. Instead we almost used Wilson, Diaz, and Lugo.
Love the way you think. :cool2:Torn hammy mid-August is probably season ending. Maybe he makes it back for World Series against the Astros.
Can’t happen, no trades after July 31:Wink:Torn hammy mid-August is probably season ending. Maybe he makes it back for World Series against the Astros.
Who was it here who sometime during July told me to wake him when they reach .500. Well whoever it was.........wake the F up!
Oh crap. McNeil hurt.
I was going to say the same thing. You beat me to it. Only the Mets are content with splitting a double-hitter. Any team in the hunt for the playoffs usually go for the kill because every game counts.Lagares, Guillorme, Hech, Altherr I mean good grief. Win would be a minor miracle.

Why would they need him if they made it to the World Series without him?Torn hammy mid-August is probably season ending. Maybe he makes it back for World Series against the Astros.
Asdrubal isn't the answer either. Can’t believe they missed out on picking Asdrubal back up again. Guillorme and Lagares are not going to cut it.
I see his Asdrubal and raise him with Jose Reyes. :chairshot:Asdrubal isn't the answer either.
I'm doubling down with a Ruben Tejada.I see his Asdrubal and raise him with Jose Reyes. :chairshot:
He is my youngest son's favorite Met. He drew a picture of him in middle school. He still asks me what happened to him.I'm doubling down with a Ruben Tejada.
Disgrace this lineup in second game. Bottom 4 hitters belong on minors.Lagares, Guillorme, Hech, Altherr I mean good grief. Win would be a minor miracle.
On IL in Syracuse..Juan88
Rajai Davis has to be better
