PSU is Schiano’s vision, across the field, a Paterno guy. Psu is Rutgers with superior athletes. But will never happen here due to the Rutgers swamp, and poor Rutgers alumni donation support. 80M in conference revenue and Rutgers is still broke? DEI says get woke go broke

Boise fans greatly outnumbered PSU fans and got really loud. I’m assuming PSU fans counted on a win and wanted to save money for next weeks game

Boise was getting abused in the run game. Since it's really difficult to win if you can't stop the run, there was no reason for Pedd State to pass.
This is probably true. Expansion did help a "team almost" like PSU. I think would've made a 12 team playoff about 4-5 times IIRC and this year PSU lucked out on top of that with an easier path. Wisconsin has fallen lately but I think they might have made 3 in a 12 teams scenario.
Boise had three drives end in Penn State territory with no points because of 2 missed FGs and a TD that was called back. Granted, Boise wouldn't have hung around if Penn State had just run the ball.
With the horrific tragedy in New Orleans early today, have to wonder if the Sugar Bowl will be impacted. As of now, the game is scheduled to go on. However, there has been some reporting that there are still ongoing discussions about that. They have to be comfortable about having enough resources for security purposes.
I think many are simply because of cost. Once Penn State won I checked flights from PA and they were all $500+ compared to the $124 they are today for Miami. Not to mention there is far more alumni in the Miami area then Phoenix.
By the score alone, sure it looked like a blowout. The missed FGs were pretty easy shots too. Make those, and final score is 31-20. That's the same points Ohio State scored on Penn State. The difference was 4 turnovers by Boise State. This will be mocked, but whatever.

Turnovers and Kicking game killed Boise State. They get an asterisk trophy for putting up more yards than Ohio State. 🙃
Every game is it's own entity. Penn State's defense held back Jeanty, and their pass defense was elite.
