Thinking either Aruba, Virgin Islands, Jamaica of Bahamas. I'm sure they will all have beautiful beaches but me and the future wifey like a good nightlife, we aren't gonna be having dinner then calling it a night, we will be drinking well into the evening/early morning a few nights. Which place is the most fun, has the best nightlife for bars/music/dancing etc. Going the first week of August.

Cancun can be a nice mix of both. A new Hard rock opened there Few years ago. I visited and felt like an old man but it could be what you are looking for.....

I did jamaica last august for mine. (sandals-ochos rios)

Good parts: the weather, the different foods (from resort, i didn't venture out of it). Dunn's river falls is a must, also did horseback riding in the ocean also an experience.

Eh parts: flight delayed and later cancelled with no updated information on what was going on over the course of 8 hours. Power outages at airport/in general. Have to be careful because with $, you're a target.

You can tell he really gets this whole marriage thing when he's on a football message board asking about honeymoon destinations that have a good night life.

I have been to Aruba and Jamaica and had fun but would not describe either as having a hard-core party scene. If you are looking for a beach and a party scene I would look at St. Barth's, San Juan or Cabo depending on your style of partying and budget. You could also jump across the pond and go somewhere like Barcelona.

Speaking of Cancun, I have to go this weekend and have never been. Any suggestions?

Don't drink the tap water in the downtown area. Bottled water only.

Isnt August hurricane season in the Caribbean ? August in the Caribbean might be cheap but it's a risky choice with the weather. Hotter than Haiti is another phrase that comes to mind.

I went to Bali for mine but was not much a party scene at all. I would second Cabo for what you are looking for. I have been to Aruba a lot and it is great but not really a party scene either besides the casinos.

Señor Frog's is a pretty wild place.

Another vote for Ibiza if the budget allows. Make a 3-4 day pit stop at Madrid or Barcelona before heading over to the island. Most Americans only know Ibiza for the partying, but there is a lot more to the island than partying....there are really only 2 small areas of the island where it's non stop partying. Many families go there to vacation. It has great beaches, great food and of course the best night life in the world.

The problem with many honeymoon destinations is that there is nothing going on at night. I've only been to Jamaica and Bahamas out of the ones you've listed, I remember both having a decent nightlife.

Pretty sure you still have my email...if so...
if not, assuming you are going for work so Harry's will suit your needs. Great view, food, so so wine list.
Fir a very Fun time hit up the La Disteleria. It's the tequila museum on the main highway. Ask for Jose the bar back(sound like a stereotype but he's real). He will get you hammered and is a lot of fun. They have a tequila there that you can rarely find called cava d-oro. The extra anejo is nice although it drinks more clime a cognac. few doors down is a solid cigar bar. Better late at night or during the week when it's just locals or business men that frequent the place.
I have emails for a few concierges so let me know what you are looking for.

If there is nothing going on at night on your honeymoon, you're doing it wrong.

Thanks, VK. This is great information, as I am there for a just a couple of nights. I will keep you posted as I may need your concierge recommendations. Thanks again.

Aruba was perfect for us, but there isn't too much "nightlife" there. But we love Aruba.

Go to Greece and travel the islands. All the islands are party destinations. I was at Rhodes, Santorini, Mikonos, and even Athens has a hard core party nightlife. You will get the best of it all. Very romantic in Santorini, and Rhodes and Mikonos are great party places. One of the best trips I ever took.

A lot of it depends on what she likes to do.

My wife enjoys drinking and relaxing, not the night life. We got engaged in Jamaica at sandals (a couples resort) which she loved- lots of drinking and beach relaxing. A few excursions available, but we stayed at the resort or in the water (didn't really want to deal with the off resort scene). I would go back.

For our actual honeymoon we did a brewery tour of NE- lots of fun but not a traditional trip. We loved it but I did promise to take her to Greece for our 1st anniversary.

Which we did- Greece is MUCH less relaxing unless you're on an island. We did 4 days in the mainland, and it was a lot of walking, drinking and sightseeing. 3 days in Crete which was a lot of fun and her favorite place as it had the only real beaches, and 4 days in santorini which was picturesque but the beaches are small and pebbly- not really nice for laying out.

Of the 3, nightlife was best in Greece. Actual relaxation and her enjoyment was Jamaica.

Just booked mine after 3 weeks of searching. Jamaica. Montego bay. Look into the secrets resorts. St James. An wild orchids offer great hm packages. WO has swim up rooms. Really cool.

Hawaii, Hawaii, Hawaii....if you don't, I question your commitment to your soon to be wife!!!!

If you like to travel a Mykonos/Santorini honeymoon would check off all your boxes as others have mentioned. You party in Mykonos and relax in Santorini (stay in a cave hotel in Ia) .... had friends who are Greek who got married there and it was like a second honeymoon for the wife and me.
