Jim Harbaughs first 'game' as the Wolverines head coach.

Live Saturday April 4 at 12 Noon (Eastern).

Televised on BTN.

Also, on Good Friday, 4 star pro-style QB Brandon Peters out of Indianapolis, IN committed to the Michigan Wolverines. Peters also held offers from Arkansas, LSU, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Iowa, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Indiana.

Apparently he is an athletic kid, as the 6' 5" Peters is also a D1 basketball recruit. He seems to have decent mobility/scrambling ability as far as I can gather from his highlight video.

GO BLUE!

Can't wait to see Michigan's OL not improved over last year's spring game where they allowed about 15 sacks. Anyone who watched that game & thought Michigan was going to win more than 5 games is completely delusional, but the magazines all had Michigan picked to be a top 3 team in the B1G East.

Surprised the crowd is so small, was expecting a new spring game record with the hype of their new coach, which if you ask them is the second coming of christ... Urban in his first year and Franklin last year both got huge crowds and with a 114000 person stadium I expected like 90k+

Are they charging admission and for parking?

44th annual Hash Bash in Ann Arbor is going on at same time as Spring game.

Not impressed at all. O line looks weak. QBs aren't impressive. No real playmakers. They have some players on D but nothing crazy.

Agreed Brad, if I'm a UM fan the one thing I want to see is improvement in OLine and QB, and both have been very bad so far

UM fans and Habaugh are definitely not happy with the QB situation. There's a lot of hope about Ruddick transferring in for his 5th year.

Wow. Not that you can really judge a whole lot from a spring game scrimmage, but man I don't even think this UM team has an identity. The game is won in the trenches, and UM doesn't seem to have much in that regard. Or a quarterback

I hear in an effort to keep expectations down.....Harbaugh would not guarantee a win today...

This is probably Mark Dantonio's reaction after watching the Wolverines Spring game:

I'm not expecting much from Michigan this year, but in a couple years, definitely.

Why? If you go by recruiting their last 5 classes have been very highly ranked. They have ton of talent on this team. I always find it odd that people will allow others growing pains but not our own.

Talent, yes (at least as measured by recruiting rankings), but QB and other positions are a huge question mark at this point.

As a UM alum, I've probably been more impatient with them than I have w/ Rutgers. So what you're saying might be true, but doesn't really apply to me.

I'm still wrapping my brain around "hash bash". Could you imagine the law enforcement orgy that would occur during a New Brunswick hash bash?

Roman,

We will see. He won at Stanford with Luck as QB. Once in a generation type guy. Now he has a reputation as being a total douche. So far recruits don't seem to be enamored with him. He will get QBs early because he will be able to point to Luck. He will probably succeed, but I don't think it is a lock.

It's pretty close to a sure thing that he will turn things around. The guy is a great coach no matter what you think of his personality.
