OT: Meddling Millennial parents

It's the company's choice, but it seems to me from having worked now at 3 places with such flexibility that the opposition is basically because of belief in "face time" or "I had to it"...do these people still use rotary phones and change the channel with a knob?

I don't think anyone disagreed with that last part. But it's not unreasonable for someone that has options to look for jobs that offer a work-from-home element. Some of the old-timers here (not you specifically) seem to think that everyone just needs to shut up and just be happy the factory is still churning out product and keeping them employed.
I don't think RuEvolutions's point was that potential employees should suppress their preferences regarding work-site flexibility. I think we'd all agree (I hope) that job-seekers can and should seek positions that allow for their desired level of flexibility regarding work location. But I also believe it's terribly misguided to project one's own preferences regarding personal policy onto a company, particularly one with which you are seeking a position. The company has every right to set policy as it sees fit, and likely has legitimate reasons for doing so... Just as job-seekers have every right to move on and look into other positions.

Honestly can't believe how few people on this thread seem to have actually read the article and are discussing the point contained in it. Maybe OP's paent wrote the title to throw people off?
