OT: NCAA College Football Games Thread 9/12-9/14 Thurs-Sat

OMG UNLV got away with terrible clock management where they had 2 timeouts. They basically let the clock almost expire but still luckily scored on the last play of the half.

17-13 Kansas

Kansas looks like dogshit. Don't understand the hoopla. The UNLV coach is the best HC named Norvell in college football. Sorry FSU guy.
His name is Barry Odom lol. And he got away with terrible clock management at the end of the half. They damn nearly came away with no points save for a blown coverage lol. Better to be lucky than good. 😂

Wow..some after burners on Dylan Edwards for the PR TD. Transfer from Colorado.

14-7 KSU

Whoops, that was the previous UNLV coach, who is now at Colorado State, and I hope Jay kicks the crap out of Pride tomorrow.

Nice INT in the endzone by KSU…looked open for a second but nope…sprinted over and took it away.

KSU misses a 48yd FG..still up 14-7

Another Daniels INT and this time deep in their own end.

They’re better off running the ball which they’ve done well. Same thing last week too. Ran it well but Daniels TOs.

Grimes has been a good OC at BYU and Baylor in his first year but not so much after.

Kansas D does a good job holding them to a FGA when they started just outside the 10. 17-16 Kansas

UNLV player faking an injury while their players were running off and then instead Kansas gets called for not being set and the player is miraculously healed lol.

KSU qb wasted the final seconds of the half scrambling around. They had a mid 30s FGA opportunity given away. They had a timeout too.

Daniels missed a wide open TD. But a drive that started at the 2 and they come away with a FG to go up 4.

20-16 Kansas

Again better to be lucky than good. Kansas players trying to pick up the ball instead of falling on it and UNLV gets it back in better field position too lol.

That’s a strip of the ball if they’re not going to blow the whistle to allow them to continue to push forward. To me that should be Kansas ball. But then UNLV gets a penalty to push them back 15yds instead of at the 1.

Oh my goodness lol..from a sure sack to down to the 2 for a 4th and goal for UNLV…down 4 and 2 mins left

I think they’ve tackled well except for tackling the qb who seems to have a knack for escaping.

I’d pressure Daniels, he doesn’t seem as accurate under pressure. His INTs won’t give him any confidence either.

I think they miss Kotelnicki as OC.

Time to pump the breaks on the Illinois……

Chop block, thats it for Kansas. I don’t expect them to make a comeback to even get a FGA.

There you go with a UNLV sack. Good win for Odom. Grimes’ offense isn’r going to be as effective with Daniels imo. I don’t see as much motion and misdirection as with AK which I think helped Daniels get easier passes.

What about the defense. IMO, Leipold looks to be in over his head.
I think the defense played well for the most part. They kept stuffing UNLV and holding them to FGs most of the game, despite being put in lousy postions a couple times by Daniels TOs. UNLV ran for 500yds last week. Kansas couldn’t tackle the qb, that was the one consistent issue.

A lot of dumb penalties.
Schiano's head would have exploded if that was his team on the multiple muffed fumble recovery. Too many defensive guys trying to create a highlight reel with a scoop and score.

And an overrated Arizona at #20 getting waxed by #14 K State
KSU was in a game last week with Tulane and it took a very questionable pick play call on Tulane to give them the win.

KSU looks good this week. I’d say Utah and KSU look like contenders for the B12. Only problem is Cam Rising being injury prone. Haven’t seen UCF so maybe them too.
