OT: NCAA College Football Games Thread 9/9-9/10 Fri-Sat

This Ewers is just dropping dimes. All the WR has to do is stick out his arms and the ball is there in stride.

He has thrown some good balls. So far so good in a big debut. Sarkisian isn’t holding back either.

Smart play throwing it away but not a good sign looks like Ewers got hurt on the roughing the passer.

Hmm. Northwestern beat Nebraska. Either Duke is that good or Nebraska is that bad.

Nice sack! The longer they stay in it the stronger they can become.

This is exactly why I like home field for playoffs. Take these guys out of the confines of their cozy homes and who knows what happens. Take them to cold weather and then possibly even moreso.

Hopefully Texas can keep it up without Ewers and they don’t turn one dimensional.

OOPH, No Ewers what a shame. With that kid Texas can definitely beat the almighty false idol Alabama without, I highly doubt it.

I just think Duke looks improved. They won only 1 conference game over the last two years so this is a good sign for them to start the season like this. I’d just leave it at that.

Texas’ D has been playing pretty well too other than that big run. Hope the Texas offense can at least keep some possession to give them breaks.

Northwestern has made it respectable since the 0-21 Deer in the headlights early moments. 21-10.

Throw those flags baby lol about time!

Wow 11 penalties for Alabama in the first half. Saban has to be fuming inside hah.

Texas sure does know how to blow chances. Still don't know why Sark didn't call TO after the long pass completion. Instead, everyone rushing around to get set for a crap play and he walks into halftime with two TO's left.

Kwiatkowski’s D has done well so far. Had a bad first year at Texas last year but looking good today. He was a pretty good DC for Peterson at Boise and Washington but kind of got passed over for Jimmy Lake (since fired as Washington HC).

Halftime mentioning Patterson on staff too. Forgot he’s an analyst at Texas too.

Duke with a nice opening drive deep into NW territory but bobbled catch in the endzone leads to a NW INT.

Card limping a little. Noot good if he’s hurt too.

What a timely punt.

Strip of the ball from Hilinski and Duke recovers. Btw Robb Smith is the DC at Duke.

Safety! I was hoping they might get one after the punt.

OMG what a BS calll. What the hell is roughing there or targeting. That’s crap.

I didn’t even understand what he said. WTF lol.

Intentional grounding could have been called too.

A kicker named Auburn playing Alabama.
Seems appropriate for him to hopefully take them out.

13-10 Texas

NW scores on a 4th down 21-16 they miss the 2pt attempt

Most penalties ever for a Saban Alabama team. Playing away in a hostile stadium in the sweltering heat and you can see these kind of things. Change multiple time zones or make it cold and who knows what else we could see.

16-10 Texas…Alabama doesn’t seem to like these trips away from home into Texas lol. Close loss to A&M the other year and another dogfight in Austin.

War of attrition might finally get Texas. QB1 hurt and QB2 hurt enough that it affects accuracy.

Come on D get a turnover.

10 play drive for NW for a TD. 28-23 Duke

That missed chip shot FG before half might loom large for Texas.

Alabama TD… 17-16 Alabama
I know it's not over but with Ewers I really feel Texas might have won by two scores. The whole complexion of the pass game for Texas changed once he went out.

Yea and despite all the penalties on Alabama I think the refs could have cost Texas more points. Missed PI on the first FG drive might have been a TD drive instead. Intentional grounding in the endzone for a safety and then then the missed face mask which could have led to a TD drive possibly as well.

Duke INT to stall a NW go ahead drive. 3:31 left

Northwestern has come back down 28-23. They've got 4 min. left before all conference fans call to kick them out of the B1G. Hey what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Edit: Oops Northwestern just threw an interception, annex them to the MAC. Your call sports media dipsh*ts.
