yeah- but the money is good even if you have to play for the little sister in NY 😜He’s gonna slum it
Yankees threw in tickets to the pinstripe bowl as contractural bonusyeah- but the money is good even if you have to play for the little sister in NY 😜
Yup, the Mets still have much to do to improve their system.Garrett Crochet is changing the color of his Sox from White to Red. Bosox acquire him for four prospects, including MLB Pipeline #25 and #54. TBH they had more to offer than the Mets did
I don't love the idea of acquiring Arenado. He has three years left and appears to be on the downside. This would have a Starling Marte feel to me.So- for us Met's fans- what do we do if Pete goes elsewhere and we make no significant additional offensive moves? Would it be worth it to try to trade for Arenado? Because our lineup may start out very good but get past our cleanup hitter- it is very bad.
I don't mind not getting him as long as we can get a good starter on the market. It was projected that we'd give up Acuna, Parada, Clifford and one other top prospect to get him which is just too rich. Acuna I wouldn't be surprised if he's all-star caliber sooner than later.Garrett Crochet is changing the color of his Sox from White to Red. for the money- just sign Pete...I don't love the idea of acquiring Arenado. He has three years left and appears to be on the downside. This would have a Starling Marte feel to me.
plus if you are going to go after a 3rd baseman, why not just go hard after Bregman instead, just work with Boras and bang out Manaea, Bregman, and Polar BearI don't love the idea of acquiring Arenado. 3B is only a question if we DONT sign Pete- if we sign Pete- the corners are locked in. I would't sign Bregman regardless- his numbers have been going down and he plays in a bandboxplus if you are going to go after a 3rd baseman, why not just go hard after Bregman instead, just work with Boras and bang out Manaea, Bregman, and Polar Bear
Guess Mike was wrongSome guy named Mike Rodriquez is saying according to his sources Jonathan Loáisiga is about to sign a 3 year 27 million deal with the Mets.
I don’t know who he is, so not taking it too seriously for now. Waiting for the more reliable sources to weigh in.

Just as nj.com will steal an idea or a concept from this site, some of the sports websites steal from unknown and unreliable Instagram people. Sports Illustrated website ran with the story about Loaisga without ever quoting a source. It seemed very similar to the Mike Rodriguez posting.Loaisiga re-signed with the Yankees ...a one-year deal.
If he's healthy he could fill a key bullpen slot.
yeah my point is IF we are going to bring in a 3B, don't be giving away prospects for a guy reaching his mid-30s. Better to sign a FA who is not only younger, but a better bat than him and WS clutch player as well.3B is only a question if we DONT sign Pete- if we sign Pete- the corners are locked in. Do we know the status of Mauricio- if he is healthy, maybe he and Baty battle it out for 3B and Vientos at 1B.yeah my point is IF we are going to bring in a 3B, don't be giving away prospects for a guy reaching his mid-30s. Acuna got 31 starts in CF for Syracuse last year.Do we know the status of Mauricio- if he is healthy, maybe he and Baty battle it out for 3B and Vientos at 1B.
I would hate it myself but.,,
And if Acuna keeps up the play he showed us- is he a viable OF?
I wouldn't mind at all if we got back Alonso and then play our young studs. Have a good feeling about Ronny and Acuna, they both looked like future stars in their few moments. Baty hard to say after the last few call ups, but might as well see what we've got, else trade him.Do we know the status of Mauricio- if he is healthy, maybe he and Baty battle it out for 3B and Vientos at 1B.

My perfect world after Sosa- We bring Pete back and move either McNeil or Marte.I wouldn't mind at all if we got back Alonso and then play our young studs. I would move Marte before moving McNeil. Marte, of late, has been on the IL more often than not. McNeil gives you a player who can play multiple positions and is solid in those positions. Baty and Marte (eat some of his money) should be moved for pitching help.My perfect world after Sosa- We bring Pete back and move either McNeil or Marte.
And Mauricio and Acuna become the real deal and if we need to put Baty into a package while moving McNeil or Marte- so be it...Unless- McNeil goes back to understanding he does not have to hit 10+ HR and starts slapping the ball all over the place to a .310+ BA...But I don't think the Alonso market is what he hoped it would be...And he has to understand how much more he earns and gets by staying a Met than going anywhere else.

You won't recognize him.We got Sammy Sosa?
Spoken like a truly pathetic Yankees fan!!Congrats on signing Bartolo Colon Jr.
Don't get mad at me. I didn't make him eat that much. Also, big speculation that Soto is actually a "Dominican Republic" 26 years old, which means closer to 30. Enjoy!Spoken like a truly pathetic Yankees fan!!
Read Jon Heyman in today's post. See if you feel the same way!Don't get mad at me. I didn't make him eat that much. Also, big speculation that Soto is actually a "Dominican Republic" 26 years old, which means closer to 30. Enjoy!
