I was at doubleheader and I’m greedy. Bases loaded no outs in 7th and the game should have been won right there. I thought mazieka would at least tie game. McNeil is struggling and looks awful. I don’t like his approach at the plate. Swinging defensively. Look at the Batting averages on this team. Awful.
Anyways I ll be at game today. Must win. Wheeler goes tomorrow and he’s damn good.

Although it didn't factor into the outcome of the inning, it the little things that are hurting the Mets. McCann gets thrown out at home but Peraza never bothered to advance to third on the play.

Almora can't hit if his life depended on it. Why not bunt. The corner infielders were back and Almora has speed. Start small to jump start your way out of a slump.

Yeah that is inexplicable and inexcusable. On plays like that, the runner on third is instructed either "go on contact" or "make sure it goes through". This is usually conveyed verbally by the third base coach. Was it not also conveyed to the runner on second? Or did he miss a sign?

I’ve been a lifelong Met fan …since 1969 when I was an 11 year old. I’m used to bad to horrendous offensive teams. This is one of the worst. Do they have to pitch a shutout to win a game? Amazing that this team is in first place. I don’t think it will last.

Even with the day off yesterday we were short. DIaz and Loup needed a day. Somehow kept a 2 man bench in the 1st game with Villar going to IL in between. Bats still stink for some reason. Hoping for a surge eventually. McNeil 0-7 very surprising.

McNeil is not very selective. Which is why he's not an ideal leadoff man by any stretch. But since I didn't get to see either game and don't see many other than national broadcasts or games against the Braves, a few thoughts. Almost on what turned out to be the sac fly by McCann. Just missed it. On the long fly ball by Almora on which McCutchen took a HR away it almost looked to me on the replay like he caught the ball coming off the wall over the orange home run line. Like a carom into his glove. Or pin Job against the wall. Maybe I'm wrong but it kind of appeared that way to me. In any event I guess it wasn't all bad hitting getting robbed like that. The one replay that I couldn't see but would like to was the Mazeika at-bat with the bases loaded and no outs. Strikeout on 3 pitches after getting 2 hits earlier. Was he chasing pitches out of the zone or did he simply get blown away?
