Please quote the guy who guaranteed a easy win for the Yankees the night Chapman blew the 4 run lead! We need more of that cow bell, thank you very much, as the Mets need all the help they can get to score runs! One thing I learned a long time ago, don't speak in absolutes when it comes to sports, exception, Joe Namath in Super Bowl #3,lol. I lost my 1st bet ever, at the age of 14, laying the 19.5 on those forking Colts!!!! My dad let me place a bet with his Newark bookie, the rest is history.

I can get pissed about the Mets lack of hitting for the past 2 months… of course. But I can’t get pissed on that last play of the game. It was a freak play with Lugo kicking a ball that Lindor would’ve handled that grounder 99% of the time and it would’ve went to extras. Guillorme’s only play was to first and I dare anyone say that Guillorme sucks for not busting it to the ball to pick it up barehanded, stop ON A DIME, turn around and TAG Acuna at third without tearing a knee ligament or two!!!!
Just moving on from a freak loss and moving on to Los Jankees.
It's not even that the defense was bad yesterday. Guillorme and Lindor made very nifty plays in the 7th and Conforto made 2 great OF plays in the series. But Lugo had a lapse in judgment on the ball leading off the 9th. He should have just put the ball in his pocket and have it just be a swinging bunt rather than trying to throw the runner out while falling. And they had Freeman played perfectly and would have had an easy force out at second.
DAMMIT!!!! Just realized two things:
- Weekend on this thread is going to be unbearable with the return of the usual suspects.
-Not a biggie but I’m still expecting those DOM SUCKS, BENCH DOM posts to continue even though he’s the only one who have a half of clue in how to hit a baseball these days.

Maybe the small bandbox will help with some of the hitters. Or they'll just look to jack everything and K even more. I'm looking at you McNeil.

Dom, McCann and Pete are hitting relatively well--flip the order a bit and put McCann, McKinney, Dom then Pete?
According to SNY the Mets have talked to the Twins about Donaldson.
Almora does not surprise me as we needed an extra arm in the pen when we are down by 20.
Nimmo hit something like .170 during his rehab. So he may not come off the IL sizzling. But even when he doesn't hit, he gets on base.
Nobody likes the 'Shift, but the Mets listened to my suggestion. Dropped McNeil in the order, Dropped Conforto from the order, and put McKinney in!!!
Shows you what they think of Almora right now that even with a lefty going for NYY they're playing McKinney. They bought some time an extra by placing Peterson on the IL. But with Villar's return also imminent it's just a matter of time.
It's a slugfest between who looks more lost at the plate right now- Conforto or McNeil. It is really puzzling considering how well they have hit in the past. Maybe a day or two of rest will do Conforto some good.

Bauer suspended 7 days on admin leave. Was he scheduled to start against the Nats this weekend?
