I just said the other day that Peraza is just a guy that seems to have that knack for coming thru in big spots. I for one will miss having him in reserve if he's the one who goes. Game winning double against the Yankees and now a tying home run against a lights out closer.

I don't usually criticize manager decisions, but how many times does Rojas have to watch Diaz implode in a non-save situation to stop using him in non-save situations?

I agree. I fear Hader, but still had hope for Peraza doing something positive in that spot. HR was gravy.
Trade Villar for a back of the rotation pitcher? If you can find someone who would make that trade, which I doubt.
IDK. All non-save situations are not created equal. I agree that he's at his best when the adrenaline is flowing. But it had to have been flowing today, under the new extra inning rule. The only run he conceded was the free runner. In other words, he kept his team in the game.
The Mets are a very exciting team, hopefully it stays an exciting summer. Keeps our southern border safe, lmfao.

All deserve to be up with this team all year and full share for playoffs. Kind of players championship teams have as a bench.
You do realize that the Mets are 45-37? So I’m sure this is not couldnt cash them in more often than not.
Mets are lost without them this year while the “stars” struggled this year.
Maybe he meant in the reality of baseball sense of the phrase. He batted .400 with runners in scoring position. IE, he made an out, more often then not.
I'm well aware of that. Just as very aware of our RISP and LOB numbers for the season. Maybe you forgot about that part.

Welp looks like a split DH tonight. At least it’s still another series win. Got to keep those Series wins going.
That was tough to watch. I think Cohen said that's the 2nd time in the series that we had 3 ducks on the pond with no outs and failed to score a run. You rarely see that because there are so many ways to score in that situation. I guess what we needed was our specialty. The bases loaded walk.
